Instagram Upload

I am one of those people who really thinks about my Instagram snaps. Not that it totally dictates what I post but I like to take time to make sure I get a good snap. I love photography and can literally get lost on accounts where the editing is cohesive, you can tell they spent time getting the right angle, and they always have a wide variety of locations. I am still working on growing my photography knowledge and skills (something I am dedicating 2015 to)  for the blog, but I am always amazed at what people can do with an iphone and editing app. And sometimes, I even surprise myself with my snaps!

I don’t always post everything to my blog but am wildly consistent on Instagram. So if you can’t find me updated here, you know where to find me! @sothentheysayblog

Pure Barre Preston Hollow

I have been very open about my recent weight struggle. The hubs and I have thoroughly enjoyed our first year and a half of marriage – eating out, drinking good wine, and enjoying yummy desserts. I usually can stop myself and make myself hit the gym but this past year I have really struggled to find the motivation to work-out and to jump start this “new lifestyle.” I voiced this frustration to the universe (which I whole-heartily believe in doing) and the next morning I received an e-mail from Britta, the owner of the new Pure Barre Preston Hollow. I had been looking into pure barre for a while because it seems to really yield results (I have literally seen  my friends bodies transform) but, again, really lacked motivation to actually go forth and sign-up. And let me back up and say, once I have my mind set to doing something, I go full force and give it my all. I just need to get to the point of wanting to do it. After meeting with Britta and hearing about Pure Barre I became really excited to take on the challenge. It was the exact push I needed and I couldn’t wait to get started. So much so, I am now a brand Ambassador for Pure Barre Preston Hollow.

I am beyond excited to get started on this new adventure! I feel inspired and ready – two things I was previously lacking. I was able to see the new, and beautiful, studio yesterday and get a few pointers from Britta! My, oh my, will this be a tough but exciting new journey! I will post my progress periodically, which I am sure will be a roller coaster of a ride! Everything from frustration and soreness, to ultimately, results! I can’t wait! I hope to see you all there!

Gold and Gray Moss Agate & Bone Spike necklace ::  Gold and Gray Medium Wood Tassel bracelets

There are certain pieces of jewelry I wear daily – wedding band, skinny pave ring, pinky knot ring, Dana Rebecca Lauren Joy necklace, and most recently my Gold & Gray pieces. I must admit, I am usually not one for beaded pieces, I have always preferred dainty gold jewelry over anything statement like. However, Gold and Gray has definitely changed my mind. I find myself reaching for the Moss Agate & Bone necklace every day! It is absolutely beautiful in person and every time I wear it, without fail, I get someone who asks where it is from. I didn’t realize just how versatile a piece like it is. I wore it on the beaches in Brazil, to a cocktail hour in Geneva, and every day since in Dallas. I am absolutely a fan of their pieces and thought you all should know about them too!
