Quote Friday

I hope everyone has a very happy and safe weekend! If you will be celebrating the holiday, happy Good Friday and happy happy Easter!
* I teamed up with Nordstrom Bridal and was able to try on dozens of beautiful wedding dresses and shoes! So fun. Check out the pictures.
* I am in an uphill battle to decorate zee fiances house before our wedding. His family and friends will be flying into Dallas from Switzerland to see his home and different attractions around the city before the wedding so I want to make sure his house is in tip top shape. One of the first things I did was the entryway. It isn’t complete but I gave you a sneak peek! Check it out here

* My weekly series, M.A.S. Most Wanted featured some stand out pieces! I am wearing these Shark Tooth earrings as I type this!

Again, I hope you all have a very safe and happy holiday weekend! This is my first time celebrating the holiday away from family but I will be with this lovely lady, probably wearing this comfy sweater, so I can’t complain too much! xo

Decorating the Entryway

I have been thinking about the entryway for awhile. The thought of designing the space made me nervous. It is the first thing people see when they walk into your house and gives them a quick glance at the over all feel of your home. It is important to make sure it is personal, functional, and appealing which is a lot to capture in such a small space. Feeling overwhelmed I decided to start with finding the perfect console table. I wanted something that felt light and didn’t weigh down the room (if that makes sense). My future mother-in-law and I found the perfect piece at Design Within Reach.
The rest of the space is a hodge podge of accessories from West Elm, Wisteria, and Nest. Since taking this picture I have changed the decor around twice and will most likely continue to do so until I get it perfect. I really want to find a great lamp, mirror, and rug to complete the space but as anyone decorating a house knows, sometimes you just have to wait and be patient until the perfect piece to comes along.
