Happy 1 Year

Can you believe it has already been a year? Neither can I! The time really does fly when you are doing something you love. People have asked what I love most about blogging and I have to say it is having a creative outlet that allows me to talk about what I love as well as meet so many amazing people. That being said, Thank you to EVERY SINGLE PERSON who has read, emailed, supported, commented or encouraged this blog over the past year. You all mean so much to me and I genuinely appreciate everything! I think it is so fun to look back at some of my first posts and see how far I have come and how much I have evolved. I am so excited for whats ahead and to continue on this journey!

Cheers to another year!

Unwinding

Rag and Bone jeans, Gap Leather jacket (similar), Alexander Wang tank, Gap mens belt (similar), Michael Kors watch, Ray Ban aviators, Italian bag
Lately I feel like I have been running around like a mad woman. Sometimes there aren’t enough hours in the day to do everything people want you to do, everything you need to do, and everything you want to do. Feeling like this always gets me a bit overwhelmed so when Brice suggested a quite date night it was the perfect timing.
We decided to hit up Smoke, an amazing restaurant where they proudly boast to be “homegrown, handmade, local eats.” We followed it with drinks at the Belmont which has the best view in Dallas to see the city lights. Highly recommend. It is so nice to have those nights where you can just sit back and breathe, of course with a cocktail in hand!

Being that I was in a mood to relax throwing on a comfy pair of jeans, baggy top, and leather jacket are my go-to options. Actually, who am I kidding? These are always my go-to options. I mean but really, can you ever go wrong with the classics; jeans, a white t-shirt, + leather jacket?

Color Mix-Up

Much to my fiancés dismay I have been living in boyfriend jeans. He doesn’t necessarily only want me in tight items but definitely clothes that show a little shape. I do try and keep him in mind when I am dressing for dates or vacations we are going on but for my everyday outfit, please, I am dressing for girls. At least they actually know what a boyfriend jean is and not just something that hangs baggy on your buttocks. That being said, lets dissect the look. I know you are thinking, ummm brown and black mixed together? To that question, I say yes! For some reason I am a fan of this kind of combo. I think it is fun to play with relaxed meets dressy.
