M.A.S. is in the process of getting quite the make-over. One thing I am most excited about – the new travel section. I was going to wait until the site was finished to start posting the goods, but I couldn’t stand it any longer. There are some big changes coming, but don’t worry the content will remain similar (except for a much larger focus on travel).

Ever since my parents sent my sister and I abroad together in the early 2000’s, travel has always been one of my passions. From later studying abroad, to marrying a swiss (which lets me get to Europe at least twice a year), travel is always one of my top priorities. I think it comes from growing up in a small town and always wanting to see “more.” My parents instilled in me what a big world there is and how many different people, cultures, and backgrounds there are to learn about. I thank them, along with my in-laws and husband for opening my eyes to new experiences and cultures and always allowing me to expand my horizons and follow my passion for travel!  I hope you enjoy this new series and travel along with me!

As always, if you ever have any questions or inquires about a place I profile please don’t hesitate to comment below or e-mail me at summersstylings@gmail.com. You can also follow my travels on Instagram (@masfashion) and search #MASfashiontravels.

5 Places I Want to Visit

untitled-13 untitled-17 untitled-18 untitled42-17864992

Traveling is my drug of choice. It makes me happy, relaxed, and fills any void in my life. I am pretty sure that is what drugs do to addicts, therefore it is my drug of choice. There are so many places both domestic and internationally I am dying to visit. I just hope I have enough time to get to them all. The world is incredible with its different cultures and landscapes it is hard to not find beauty everywhere you go.

This week I am planning a getaway trip for the hubs and I’s one year. Since we are going to Rio in June we decided to take a mini vacay to tide us over. We are debating on a few different cities but are narrowing down the list this weekend! The only things on our list are sun, relaxation, and cocktails. Since this upcoming trip is low key I have provided a list of five dream places I want to eventually visit. Can you imagine taking a long nap in a swinging bed in Bali, touring the cobblestone streets of Greece, watching the northern lights while being tugged away in a cozy bed, or swimming the blue lagoons in Iceland? Wherever your dream places are to go – write them down and cross them off. It might take your entire life to finish the list but isnt that the fun of it?

As I sit here ready to post the last few of my Paris pictures I am a bit sad. The trip is (has been) officially over for a few weeks but I have been putting off posing pictures as if to hang on to the last little bit of it. I had an absolute blast traveling with Molly and being over there.  I am already planning a return visit this summer (along with a few other pit stops). Isn’t it funny how when the entire world feels like it is against you or you are having a total shit moment in life, or everything is going perfectly well, traveling and getting away for a few days is always what you need. Well, traveling and chocolate! 🙂

I think I always get a bit nostalgic after a trip, especially to Paris. I find the city so inspiring that when I come home, I find it hard to keep that level of creative alive. I get really down and wohm wohmpy. So weird right?! All I can think of right now is how I am in a place where I really want to surround myself with cultured, inspiring, and interesting people and things. Those who bring more to the table. It is like a thirst for more! Sounds so weird but it is true – or maybe I just need to find a hobby 🙂 Whatever it is, I feel my “creativeness” is really needing some TLC lately, so I plan to quench it through – taking walks in local parks, listening to live music with friends at the arboretum, having a date night while browsing a museum, taking a painting class, focusing on my french studies, travel, ect. Whatever I can do  to further my creative side. I am sure this feeling will pass but I kind of hope it doesn’t. I like being pushed outside my comfort zone and wanting to see and feel more!

Okay, so this post totally sounds depressing but I swear it isn’t meant to! I am really excited to be home and back with the family! I just love travel so much that sometimes I get myself into those, “travel blues.” Anyways, to this post I say, “Au revoir ma belle Paris! à bientôt.”
