I have always been fascinated by photography. I have spent countless hours studying photographs of people, while considering the angles, the lighting, and the editing the photographer used. I love the fact that photography has the amazing ability to transport us to a different time, or place with one single shot.
It was not until I started blogging that I decided to take photography more seriously. With camera in hand, I started experimenting with photographs of my apartment, of friends, and family. It was after experimenting in this way that I realized my passion for photography. I have no formal training or background in this field, but I realize that passion can open your eyes to the impossible, so not only did I invest in the proper equipment I also spent the necessary time to learn everything I could to enhance the skill it takes to be proficient with this passion.
I enjoy, and appreciate the opportunity to photograph bloggers, couples, influencers who make an impact in their profession, families, and also lifestyle type setting. I take an individual approach to each person I photograph. I make every effort to embrace and highlight the focus of what they are trying to convey to their audience with each session.
I look forward to working together and capturing the potential magnificence of your moments through my eyes and the lens of my camera.
This entire week I have had a tough time sleeping which will help explain my lack of blogging. It was one of those weeks where I just could not get it together. Instead of throwing up random posts I decided to take a bit of a break. Since B will be at the Masters I plan on catching up on some much needed R&R. Most of my friends are also out of town so I will be spending the next few days enjoying my own company. I absolutely love “me” time and think it is so necessary every now and then. I think I might even splurge on a little massage + a nice dinner. I mean how often do we treat ourselves? Not enough in my opinion and I think it is important for our mental health – or that is what I will tell the hubs! 🙂
I am excited to photograph a few ideas I have for posts next week (promise I will be back)! In the mean time – I leave you with this sweet and true little “quote Friday.”
Growing up wearing white before Easter or after Labor Day was a no no. I mean really, if I came down wearing white jeans in October I was sent back upstairs to change. Since this was ingrained in my head it has always been something I followed. However, this year I have realized white is very appropriate between the above time frame – it is all in the fabric. White wool during winter – perfection. White linen before Easter – no go. All in the fabric! Knowing this, I had been on the lookout for white wide-leg trousers for what seems like ages. I was dying to wear them to NYFW but couldn’t find ones that were “weather appropriate” so opted for this leather look instead. I finally ended my search on these beauties from Nordstrom. They.are.perfect. Long, light, and moves perfectly! The key to wearing wide-leg pants is that they must be long. Yes, that is right, get out your highest heels and strut. The longer the pant the longer and more chic you look!
All white has been on my style wish list for what seems like ages. When I see pictures on Pinterest or around the web of girls wearing it I always think it is so ethereal and chic. I thought about waiting until after Easter to wear this look but decided to throw caution to the wind and daringly post it a few weeks before. such a badass. All joking aside, wearing white is just about the easiest and fastest way to look pulled together this season. In the cooler months we love to wear all black because it is easy and always looks great, but in the spring we reach for lots of color, florals, and patterns. If you want to stick with the, “easy and always looks great” method, try incorporating head to toe white into your stylings. You won’t be disappointed. And if you do wear it before Easter – you are such a daredevil!Â
