I have always been fascinated by photography. I have spent countless hours studying photographs of people, while considering the angles, the lighting, and the editing the photographer used. I love the fact that photography has the amazing ability to transport us to a different time, or place with one single shot.
It was not until I started blogging that I decided to take photography more seriously. With camera in hand, I started experimenting with photographs of my apartment, of friends, and family. It was after experimenting in this way that I realized my passion for photography. I have no formal training or background in this field, but I realize that passion can open your eyes to the impossible, so not only did I invest in the proper equipment I also spent the necessary time to learn everything I could to enhance the skill it takes to be proficient with this passion.
I enjoy, and appreciate the opportunity to photograph bloggers, couples, influencers who make an impact in their profession, families, and also lifestyle type setting. I take an individual approach to each person I photograph. I make every effort to embrace and highlight the focus of what they are trying to convey to their audience with each session.
I look forward to working together and capturing the potential magnificence of your moments through my eyes and the lens of my camera.

I must admit, I am terrible at buying accessories. It is something I have been trying to work on over the past few years. The idea of having a few basics and buying different accessories to change up the look is something I whole-heartedly believe in. However, when it comes to finding the accessories I have a hard time. I still wear the same necklaces I bought five years ago with the same rings I bought before that. I have such a difficult time deciding on each piece I usually give up, and go buy another white t-shirt.
When Arthur and Livingston contacted me about their new products I decided to take a look. I was instantly drawn to all of the bright colors and stones. Not to mention their prices are pretty great! I decided on the Miami, which is a coralish/red necklace with really fun stones. I loved that it was different enough from what I have seen in stores but still wearable for everyday. Thanks to A&L I feel like I am set in the accessory department for the next few months. At least until I have another agonizing decision on a new bracelet. Decisions, decisions.

“Life is too short to miss out on being really happy”
First off- I can not believe it has already been a littler over a month since my wedding. Where does the time go?! This weekend Brice and I are headed to Mississippi to celebrate a friends wedding. It is the first one we will both attend as a married couple and I have a feeling it will bring a hinge of nostalgia.
I am really excited to head out of town and to share in my friends moment of pure happiness and love. Ever since I was a tiny tot, weddings always bring tears to my eyes! The idea of two people wanting to grow old together and vowing to love each other unconditionally is overwhelming. I also love watching the fathers walk their daughters down the aisle. Their face is always what you would want to see: loving, proud, and a little bit sad about letting their baby girl go. What a moment!
On another wedding note, my amazing photographer, Taylor, has posted a few photos from my wedding which I hope to share with you all soon! I am blown away by her work! The above is only one of her many talented pictures.
:: I re-capped a few of my favorite items that I am really wanting right now on M.A.S. MOST WANTED. How do you all like the new layout? After a few weeks of playing around with it, I think I like this one!
:: Who knew you could gain so many lbs in a month? I am trying to get my fat butt back in shape and rock Old Navy’s new Active line (which is ah-mazing and I may or may not be wearing it as I type this) in Sworking with Old Navy! P.s. read this post for a killer iphone app!
:: How adorable were these? I will definitely be getting them for my three little nieces! Perfect gift for any little kid!
:: Lastly, don’t miss this hidden gem next time you are in Mexico! Talk about ah-mazing! Oh and I am rocking one verrrry bright dress! Kind of fun, kind of different!
:: Being that it has already hit 100degrees in Dallas I am really wanting a beautiful hammock under a tree. There is nothing more peaceful than swinging in a hammock. I stumbled upon this one and am hoping to make it mine before fall!
:: Lately I have been into buying things with an “H” on them for my new last name. I came across this sweater and almost died. How chic, cool, and just plain cool is it! AND it is on sale!!!
:: Staying on the letter theme, have you seen how cool J.Crew’s hat line is? I will definitely be needing the “H.” I am sad I don’t have an “N” in my name because that hat is to die for!
:: Thanks to my mother-in-law she shared with me Tory Burch’s fall boot line! I fell in love with these (how cute with dark skinnies and a blazer) but check out the entire collection here.
Have a happy and safe weekend! Catch ya on the flip side!
