I usually only like to wear neutrals but since my summer kicked off with a trip to Mexico I stalked up on my fair share of brights (see another bold look). It was a nice change from the norm and fit in perfectly amongst other beach goers and Tulum eateries. While in Tulum I had the opportunity to dine at the amazing and well-known restaurant, Hartwood. The food and atmosphere were exceptional. The open air and fire burning stove make for a sexy and very picturesque evening. The chef, who left a restaurant in New York to start Hartwood, serves up some of the best food I have ever tasted. We loved dinning on local fried octopus and pork ribs. SO good my mouth is still watering. I had wished to take more pictures so I could share the beauty of the night but they are extremely private and asked for little photography. At the time, when they told me no more pictures, I was extremely upset but now I understand and share in their want of keeping Hartwood only something you can experience in person.

The OG of Badass shoes

If you don’t know this year is a BIG year for my family! I got married and my sister and sister-in-law are both pregnant. But I don’t get just two little bebes, I get three! That is right! My sister-in-law is expecting twins!! I am so pumped to be an aunt I can barely contain my excitement. With that being said, I have already begun stalking up on little gifts so I can shower them with things love.
When I came across these monogrammed converse I freaked! Some girls remember getting their first barbie but I still, to this day, remember getting my first pair of converse. I was around 7 years old and my sister and I got matching high-tops. I thought they were the coolest thing in the world! Fast forward a few years and I am still rocking the converse. I know some people have moved on to the, “ever so cool” smoking slipper but I can’t seem to rid myself of the original flat.
I am so excited that I can now buy my little nieces their first pairs of converse. I think the monogram adds a special touch to the OG of badass shoes. And don’t you think they would look so cute on top of a stack of baby books?!

Sworking with Old Navy

We are about to get real. really, real. Everyone talks about how amazing the beginning of a marriage is. Often times referred to as the “honeymoon” period. Everything is new, exciting, and full of firsts. I agree with all of the above. I couldn’t even begin to tell you how much I love being married. Getting to come home to the man you love everyday is an incredible feeling. Now, what people don’t explain is this amazing euphoria brings major lbs.  With all of the excitement there comes lots of wine, home cooked meals and desserts. You are so busy soaking in the newness and celebrating the moment that you forget about your waistline. At least I did.

I swear, I thought I was invincible to the “happy weight.” With a less than excited attitude to work out and lots of good meals I have added a few extra love pounds. WOOF! I am just now getting settled in and ready to start up a routine again which will inevitably include working out. Since the task itself is very lackluster to me right now, I at least get very excited about my workout gear! I popped in Old Navy the other day and discovered their Active line and spent at least an hour trying on all of the fun colors and styles.

Now to the swag. Besides the outfit you see in the pictures (links above) I also was able to get a few other things that I highly recommend::

Being a girl with a large chest it is sometimes hard for me to find workout gear that fits but everything they had accommodated me quite well! What you can’t see is that I am wearing, this, amazing Old Navy sports bra which supports incredibly well without putting weight on my shoulders (you understand this if you have big boobs).

I also bought this bra with adjustable straps to wear around the house and running errands. I swear it is amazing! SO soft and light you forget you’re wearing anything.

Lastly, (I told you I was in O.N. for a while) I got these pants for any yoga or spinning classes days I feel lazy! Lets just say I have been wearing them NON-STOP! Holy comfortable! Sometimes pants like this begin to sag but theses stayed up all day and even a few wears later!

Hope my recommendations help your next workout 🙂

Thanks to my friend Hitha, who introduced me to the app Sworkit, I can work out from anywhere. Sworkit gives you work out plans that do not require anything other than yourself and a dedicated attitude! Definitely a must for anyone on the go!
