BRINGING THE PACK, BACK

Rag and Bone jeans (similar), Haute Hippie leather jacket (in brown), Urban Outfitters sweater (love this one too), Ray Ban sunglasses, 90’s Guess backpack, Valentino heels
Is anyone else in full cleaning mode? I have been having the urge to purge (clothing, that is). If I haven’t worn something in a few months, see ya! I am being cut-throat and it feels good!
I am guessing my mom and dad are in the same mode because over Christmas my dad made me go through my old closet and throw out anything that I didn’t want. It was funny/crazy to see everything that I have accumulated; pictures documenting the awkward stage, stuffed animals from ex-boyfriends, notes from old besties, and this crazy cheetah print backpack. I think I was originally given it in the 90’s when Pop music and knee high socks made my world go round. Such a great time! When I saw this forgotten treasure it immediately took me back to the carefree days of “Hit me baby one more time” and “Spice World.” So, for old time-sake and a little nostalgia, I give you, THE backpack!

THE, SOFIE LYDDON

Have you ever met someone and immediately felt humbled by their talent? I felt that way when I met up-and-coming designer, Sofie Lyddon (website under construction). She is effortlessly cool and has more design talent in one finger than I could hope to have in my entire body. When you see her designs they make you stop, stare, then have you wishing you were wearing them.

Knowing her talents I commissioned her to design a top for me. She sent pictures of the progress along the way but nothing prepared me for how beautiful it was in person. The detailed design, color, and movement of the fabric was different than anything I had seen before. She captured everything I could want in a piece and did it without me having to say a word. I CAN NOT wait to wear this one-of-a-kind on my blog!
Also, the back is one of my favorite parts about this top but I am saving that for next time (stay tuned). In the mean time, keep her on your radar!

Also, I have the winner of the Maddy Nash clutch! CONGRATULATIONS Jessica Sweatt! I will be e-mailing you shortly 🙂

LASTLY, Check out the things that make me happy on Brighton The Day! Love this series!!!

CAVIAR

I am usually not a big nail person. I envy my best friend, Amanda, who always keeps hers looking impeccably painted. I wish I could be like that but within minutes of getting a manicure I have snagged, scraped or chipped a nail. It is incredibly frustrating to never get to look down at pretty nails. But I figured I would give it one more go after obsessing…
over this recent find: Ciate Caviar Manicure. Don’t let the painting process intimidate you. The removal process was as effortless as the application (which I was nervous about). It comes in a variety of colors (my black here) that I can’t wait to try out for spring.

Ciate Caviar Manicure is sold here and here
