I have always been fascinated by photography. I have spent countless hours studying photographs of people, while considering the angles, the lighting, and the editing the photographer used. I love the fact that photography has the amazing ability to transport us to a different time, or place with one single shot.
It was not until I started blogging that I decided to take photography more seriously. With camera in hand, I started experimenting with photographs of my apartment, of friends, and family. It was after experimenting in this way that I realized my passion for photography. I have no formal training or background in this field, but I realize that passion can open your eyes to the impossible, so not only did I invest in the proper equipment I also spent the necessary time to learn everything I could to enhance the skill it takes to be proficient with this passion.
I enjoy, and appreciate the opportunity to photograph bloggers, couples, influencers who make an impact in their profession, families, and also lifestyle type setting. I take an individual approach to each person I photograph. I make every effort to embrace and highlight the focus of what they are trying to convey to their audience with each session.
I look forward to working together and capturing the potential magnificence of your moments through my eyes and the lens of my camera.
NY Fashion Week was extremely fun and quite exhausting. I attended several blogger events and got to meet some of my favorites (Anh, Jane, Emily, Mary, & Wendy)! It was an incredible week with amazing memories. I wanted to share just a few of the 1,000 photos I took, selfishly, so I can re-live it. 🙂
I have been wearing glasses since those awkward junior high days. I never looked at them as being a great accessory to have but rather something that clashed with my braces, blue nails, and oily skin. Can you ask for a more awkward period? woof. I am a hoarder when it comes to frames. For some reason I find them an annoying necessity so I don’t buy them often. Last week I finally caved and bought a new pair since my last ones were being held together by a safety pin (tres chic). After weeks of searching for the right pair I was excited to show them off. Â The first reaction I received was from my boyfriend who said, “They are nice. They certainly don’t make you look as nerdy as your last ones.” Gee thanks, buddy. Guess I need to update more often?!
I was having a hard time finding jean shorts that were loose and laid-back so I snagged a few of my boyfriends after his last closet clean out. It seemed any time I tried to cut my own jeans they were super tight and not flattering.Â
Make sure if you are DIY your own jeans shorts to go up a few sizes so you can get that relaxed fit you are aiming for.Â
