Traveling is one of my all time favorite things to do. It really is one of my passions so I am beyond excited to bring you more travel centered posts. From city guides, to places I want to visit, I hope you enjoy! The first stop for this new series is none other than sunny Scottsdale! I traveled there a few weeks ago and didn’t want to leave. The food, the scenery, the sun…more to come on that later! Let’s chat about packing. YUCK! For as much as I love traveling I hate packing just the same. You always over pack or under pack. You feel like you don’t have the right thing or you do but left it at home. It has always been a struggle for me! I have talked about packing on this blog before (Packing Smart :: Portavi), but the more I travel the more I learn. Through the years I have made a mental list of a few items that I can’t leave home without. These items have been life savers over the past few years of traveling. It doesn’t matter which pattern you are wearing, a striped top is sure to fit! Wether I have needed a swimsuit cover-up, a shirt to go on a walk, something to dress-up a pair of jeans, or something to mix with a nice skirt, the striped top has never failed me.

So instead of packing a number of different shirts for every different occasion, consider a striped top. You will be amazed at the wear you will get out of it and the compliments that will surely follow! Since it is such a necessary item for your upcoming travels, I have selected a few choices that will fit the bill:

  1. Very interesting post! Unfortunately, I never was a good packer. I make a packing list, I downsize everything to a minimum and at the end I have no place for my stuff.
