What I Wore to My Daughters Christening

outfit details // See By Chloe Belted Tiered Dress, Sam Edelman Hazel Pump

This past Sunday Eleanor was Christened. She wore the same dress I wore as a baby during my christening. It was such a special event being surrounded by our family and friends. Being that her outfit was decided long ago, I took time figuring out what I would wear. I wanted to wear pants and a sweater but I am still not back into my pre-pregnancy size. They were a little tight and I didn’t feel like being uncomfortable on such a special day. After finding this See By Chloe dress online, it was settled. I loved the cut, the color, and that I can wear it all spring and summer. It also didn’t hurt that the dress was 50% off! I bought it without a second thought.

Being that my husband knows all too well what Net-a-Porter is he asked what I had purchased from them. I brushed him off and said something for Eleanor. When it arrived he mentioned what a beautiful dress it was and I said, “oh thank you. It is from NAP.” He looked at me and said, “you told me you bought something for Eleanor?” I laughed and responded, “Yes, it was a dress for me to WEAR to Eleanor’s Christening.” I was busted! But sometimes it is worth skirting the truth!

  1. Mary this is so precious and your dress is gorgeous. Those shoes are everything and I cannot believe they are Sam Edelman. I may have to buy them if they are still available. Eleanor looks so beautiful in you sweet dress and bonnet. Brice is the always handsome and dapper dad. Love your family. You guys are the cutest!!
