Marc Jacobs Dream Capsule

When you start a new venture in life you start it because you want to fulfill your dreams. Starting so then they say after two years of blogging on M.A.S. fashion was quite a leap of faith. Like any dream there are sacrifices, scares, and lots of leaps of faith, but you know if you are standing behind something you love, it will all be worth it in the end. I think following your dreams is one of the bravest things you can do! The other day I was asked to participate in the Marc Jacobs Dream Cloud Lounge where I was asked to submit a dream of mine. WOW! I am not sure even they knew what kind of timing it was but the entire idea of recording your dreams made me stand there and think. While I was in the midst of creating this new site (that no one knew of at the time) I was asked to write down my dreams for the future.

For the past few months I have been quite guilty of getting wrapped up in everything I want to do and not appreciating everything I have been able to do. My entire life I have always wanted to be in control of my future and have a job I am passionate about and love waking up to do. A job that I am proud of and can stand behind. That allows me to be creative and be 100% me!  I am a huge supporter of taking a moment to tell the universe what you want in life. I really believe the moment you voice it, it has more of a possibility to come true. It is sad to say but it took the Marc Jacobs Dream Cloud Lounge to make me realize that I am living this dream of mine that I have wanted since I was little. The dream I voiced all those years ago.

While I was terrified and utterly stressed to the max about the new site and what all of you would think of it, I was forgetting to breathe and enjoy the ride. After all, I was living my ultimate dream, I just needed to be reminded of it. It took standing in that beautiful setting – with the sweet smelling Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume in the air, white benches, the greenest of grass, and perfectly aired up clouds – for me to realize I didn’t need to look any further than where I already was. Standing there asking myself, “What was my personal dream?” allowed me to see that I am already living it.

Having this epiphany made me want to ask you all, do you know what your dream is? Have you reached your dream and not acknowledged it? Are you starting a new dream? I encourage you to take the same challenge I did with Marc Jacobs Dream Capsule. I think it is easy to get caught up in what you don’t have or where else you want to go and forget that you may be living the dream you always wanted. If you need a calm or inspiring place to think about your dreams in life I recommend downloading this playlist, sitting under the sun, planting your feet soundly to the ground, and taking a moment to envision your life, goals, and dreams. I really hope you listen to me on this, as sometimes all you need is to be re-centered to what your dreams are in life!

  1. That sounds like it was such a great experience. How wonderful to be able to say that you have achieved or are in the midst of one of your dreams. The new site is looking amazing, so big round of applause for your dream being absolutely wonderful.
I think it is such a good reminder to sit back and consider our dreams, I am a junior in college and I have many dreams that seem far off in the horizon. Such as landing a great job after graduation and more. But I think it is key to remember that I am also living a dream, just a dream that is more from my past, to go to a great college that I love. I think sometimes we are always looking toward the next step, the next job etc, but it is so great to reminded to be in the present and look at what we have achieved.
Hove your outfit, your jacket is beautiful. What a great piece for the fall!
