Cuyana is everything that I want to be in a brand. It stands for “Love” in Quechua and their philosophy is, the fewer the better.  They believe in style over trends, in quality over quantity, in loving your closet. That fewer, better things lead to a fuller, better life. Very European thinking! This is also what I try to preach on here. About buying items that build a wardrobe and not just add to it! Pieces that have meaning and add value to what is already there. I am not saying that I am perfect at this ideology but if there is ever one place that I go for inspiration and simplicity, it is Cuyana. Every item I have purchased has been a closet staple. For example, their capes make the perfect travel accessory! You can wear them on the airplane and then dress them up for night, like I did here in Charleston. Their pieces are so well-made and worth the investment. You will have, and wear them, for years to come!

Up until now Cuyana has only been online for us Texas shoppers but this Thursday they are coming to Dallas. Myself, along with the sisters of A Piece of Toast and Hannah of Not My Circus, are hosting their pop-up shop at Blue Print from 5-7pm. You can read more about the event here or on the invite I attached below! It is going to  be a really fun evening in a really beautiful location (if you haven’t been to blue print yet you are missing out). Also, if you bring two friends you get $25 towards your in-store purchase! What reason do you have not to pop-in?

For a bit of Cuyana outfit inspiration I created an everyday look with two pieces from their store – the cropped trench and their silk tee. The possibilities for these pieces are endless and the ideal items to add to your “closet of purpose.” See how easy they make it?
