Cut-Offs

Marc Jacobs hat (shop page, favorite similar), Cheap Monday sweater, J.Brand shorts, YSL ring, Steve Madden shoes (in dark brown), Elizabeth and James sunglasses, bracelets by :: Kora, Forever 21 & Sofie Lyddon

There is something about going home and being around family that gives me a sense of ease. For one thing the champagne is always flowing but you can also throw on whatever you want, whenever you want. Growing up with a lake as my back yard you tend to grab whatever is quick and easy, a la cut-off jeans. They are easy for a swimsuit cover-up and if done properly can last long into the night.

Make sure they are long enough to cover your back side and loose enough to leave something to the imagination. Think hippy chic not trailer trash. I love to throw on a sweater and flats with mine. You stay warm in the spring nights and look comfy/classy.
You can also add a patterned or colored sweater for some pop. Just remember if the bottoms are short your top isn’t.

  1. I have been looking for a great pair, but haven’t had any luck yet – all the ones I’ve tried on are too short! Will keep searching, though because I agree that they are a must-have for summer. Love how you paired yours with a loose knit & fedora! 🙂
