Conventional Cover-Up

ASOS shorts, Plastic Island shirt (similar), American Apparel bandeau, Elizabeth & James sunnies, Banana Republic scarf (similar), Tory Burch shoes, Sabine earrings, Chanel bracelet
My boyfriend and I recently booked a summer holiday to California. I am in desperate need of Vitamin D, sand, waves, and a tan.  After I hit “purchase” on Virgin America I could already smell the salty breeze and began wondering what I would wear. The trip is two months away but I am so excited I couldn’t help but throw on some summer digs.
I love thinking of new swimsuit cover-up’s for summer. I bought this shirt last year for a pair of leather shorts but I think the sheerness and length make it the perfect cover-up. When buying one you don’t always have to be conventional. Think of something easy and effortless like this top. When you are hot and sticky it will still have breeze but you can also easily throw on a pair of shorts and floppy hat and you are ready to head out to eat.

  1. Thanks for your sweet comment:)
It’s nice to get away on vacation, but look at the sunshine you got there at home! I wouldn’t be able to throw on your outfit without turning blue here in Vancouver!
Great style inspiration by the way. Will do just that next week in sunny Mexico:)
