M.A.S. Photography – 8.21

Along with travel my other favorite type of photography is fashion/portrait. I started photography a few years ago out of a need to learn for my blog. Blogging is so visual so I knew I needed to learn a thing or two about taking a pretty picture so I could create content I was proud of. What I didn’t know is that the photography would eventually take precedence over the blog. I really enjoy photography. All aspects of it. From meeting the people, capturing the moment, and the entire process of editing. I feel so badly that I have not been updating the blog a lot this summer but I have really been trying to focus on taking my photography to the next level. And when you want to get good at something, sacrifices must be made. However, I do think I have captured enough photos over the past few months to last this blog a lifetime! So stay tuned on those 🙂

I am constantly blasting my travel photos on the blog and Instagram but rarely show my other side of the business. So with their permission I have created a very small (comparatively speaking) round-up of photos I have shot in the last few months! I hope to continue to shoot these beautiful women and to continue to grow this side of my photography business! I find the entire process so fulfilling!

The Pant

One thing I have learned about french style – they all wear pants. And when you are in Rome, you do as the Romans do, or should I say Parisians. So I wear pants. I honestly didn’t bring that many pairs of pants with me so the one pair (they are now 40% off) I did bring I have been wearing out. It is a good thing that they are one of my favorite pants because they have been getting a lot of use. The one thing I want in a pant is for it to look chic but be really comfortable. I mean, the pastries are insane here and I don’t want to be wearing pants which inhibit me from fully enjoying them. I bought these pants from Lou and Grey right before I left. You have probably been seeing a lot of L&G on the blog lately and that is because I am obsessed! Just like these pants, everything is really basic, comfortable, and well-made. I mix-and-match every piece I bought and have built a month long wardrobe just from a few pieces. These pants have already been worn with this top (seen here) and this top (seen here).  I am really excited because they just launched their new collection and everything is amazing. I mean these shorts, perfect for the beach or lounging around the house! And this top is so perfect and so Parisian!

Head over to their site now to see more of what they got goin’ on!

The Button-Up

If you are in Dallas and haven’t already definitely head to the Lou and Grey store. Before I left for Paris I went on a crazy shopping spree there. Not because I needed a ton but because everything was so incredibly perfect for a summer wardrobe. I loved how simple and easy each piece was. And that every piece in the store could be worn together. My kind of shopping experience. Hands down one of my favorite pieces I purchased was this silk button-up blouse. It has been a staple in my travel wardrobe: wearing it with linen pants, jeans, shorts, and with dress pants for a night out.

Since I was overly blessed in the chest department finding a button-up which fit without pulling has always been a challenge. You buy one size bigger and it doesn’t pull but then you are swimming in it. Buy your normal size and it fits in the arms and body but you pull the buttons apart. It is a serious dilemma for someone who loves the look. However, from the moment I put this Lou & Grey blouse on I knew it was a perfect fit! Wether you have this problem or not you should definitely consider heading here or to the Dallas store and grabbing one of these for yourself! I got it in white and black (it comes in six colors total) and should probably invest in two more with the amount of use I have gotten out of them!
