I have always been fascinated by photography. I have spent countless hours studying photographs of people, while considering the angles, the lighting, and the editing the photographer used. I love the fact that photography has the amazing ability to transport us to a different time, or place with one single shot.
It was not until I started blogging that I decided to take photography more seriously. With camera in hand, I started experimenting with photographs of my apartment, of friends, and family. It was after experimenting in this way that I realized my passion for photography. I have no formal training or background in this field, but I realize that passion can open your eyes to the impossible, so not only did I invest in the proper equipment I also spent the necessary time to learn everything I could to enhance the skill it takes to be proficient with this passion.
I enjoy, and appreciate the opportunity to photograph bloggers, couples, influencers who make an impact in their profession, families, and also lifestyle type setting. I take an individual approach to each person I photograph. I make every effort to embrace and highlight the focus of what they are trying to convey to their audience with each session.
I look forward to working together and capturing the potential magnificence of your moments through my eyes and the lens of my camera.
Lele Sadoughi stole my heart a few weeks ago when I came across her jewelry on the web. I immediately pinned every piece I could find. They are so unique and gorgeous that I knew I needed one, one day. With so many amazing choices it is hard to pick just one, but last night at a birthday party I came across, Sam, who was wearing two of my favorite pieces (this one and this one). They were so, absolutely beautiful in person, that now I KNOW I need them. Sorry if I copy you Sam, but the way they were paired together was just perfect!
I really like converse! You have seen me wear them multiple times on this blog (here and here to name a few). They are so classic and comfortable, other than the Ray Ban Aviator, I am not sure if another brand rivals their constant presence in the fashion scene. Converse has now become even cooler in my books, as they have paired up with on of my favorite french designer, Maison Martin Margiela. Their collab has been much anticipated and you can now see what they have been working on below. I personally love the all white. Wouldn’t it they look so great paired with a black skinny jean?
Our wedding day was better than I could have ever imagined! From the venue, to our food, to the people who attended, it was my own personal dream come true. We kept it small enough to be really romantic and intimate but large enough to include our closest friends and family.
After getting engaged we flew to celebrate with Brice’s family who live in Switzerland. While there, I started googling wedding venues and came across one that took my breath away. I even said, “If that venue were in Texas, I would totally get married there.” Come to find out, it was! To make an educated decision, that I would have no regrets about, Brice and I visited a dozen of venues, only to leave feeling like they weren’t right. It was clear our venue had been chosen weeks before, in a sunroom in Switzerland. Villa Del Lago it was! The venue had everything we were looking for; you felt like you were worlds away from Austin, maybe tucked away in a Tuscan vineyard, and it was romantic, scenic, intimate, and absolutely beautiful.
Before we started planning we sat down and came up with three adjectives we wanted the wedding to be. It was funny because we both wrote down the exact same things; fun, memorable, and classic. It was really important to us for everyone to have a good time, but also make them feel like they were all part of one, big, family. We also wanted a wedding that would be chic and stand the test of time, so we chose to do an all white wedding with accents of gold. The simple color palette allowed the beauty of the venue and the backdrop of Lake Travis to really stand out. I was also dead-set on having a long, family-style, table. It ended up being perfect with our venue. If you let things fall into place, it is crazy how it really does all work out.
