The OG of Badass shoes

If you don’t know this year is a BIG year for my family! I got married and my sister and sister-in-law are both pregnant. But I don’t get just two little bebes, I get three! That is right! My sister-in-law is expecting twins!! I am so pumped to be an aunt I can barely contain my excitement. With that being said, I have already begun stalking up on little gifts so I can shower them with things love.
When I came across these monogrammed converse I freaked! Some girls remember getting their first barbie but I still, to this day, remember getting my first pair of converse. I was around 7 years old and my sister and I got matching high-tops. I thought they were the coolest thing in the world! Fast forward a few years and I am still rocking the converse. I know some people have moved on to the, “ever so cool” smoking slipper but I can’t seem to rid myself of the original flat.
I am so excited that I can now buy my little nieces their first pairs of converse. I think the monogram adds a special touch to the OG of badass shoes. And don’t you think they would look so cute on top of a stack of baby books?!

I love this time of year for one reason; the flowers. Everywhere you look in grocery stores, side streets, Instagram and so on there are displays of beautiful flowers. I love having them on my desk, on my kitchen table, on the coffee table, anywhere and everywhere you can think of. I think I come by this love for fresh flowers honestly. My mother planted a garden full of gardenias, roses, and hibiscus just so she could have her favorite fresh flowers around the house everyday. I still remember coming down for breakfast and knowing, by the sweet perfume coming from the kitchen, she had already been outside that morning picking her gardenias. To this day, every time I smell a Gardenia it makes me think of my mom and I love that. I don’t have my garden of fresh flowers yet but I share in her love of having them around the house.
