When I first got pregnant I thought clothing I liked would be really easy. I never listened to people who said how difficult it was to find pieces that you actually wanted to wear. Well, their honesty started to become a reality when my bump began to grew and I needed new clothing. I kept buying pieces that I had to return. Either because the fit was off, the shape was off, or the style was just plain bad. I started to buy regular dresses a size or two larger, but this only lasted so long. It was time to find the right maternity line.

When I say I spend hundreds and hundreds on trying to find maternity clothing I would not be over exaggerating. I thought I needed to buy the expensive pieces for a better fit. WRONG! It wasn’t until a friend of mine told me about the large maternity selection at Macy’s that my mind opened. Their selection is not only HUGE but it has a wide variety of styles and price points. I was blown away. My favorite lines they carry: Motherhood Maternity and A Pea in the Pod. I found so many options from both of these designers.

My favorite pieces by far were these dresses I am showing today. I loved this Motherhood Maternity t-shirt dress. It is seriously the SOFTEST and most comfortable dress I have ever owned. My one regret, I didn’t find it sooner! While I loved the t-shirt dress, my husband loved the Motherhood Maternity white lace dress. It is such a beautiful dress for summer and extremely comfortable as well. I love that you can dress it up with accessories or just wear it around the pool with sandals. It would also be perfect for a date night, especially since it was the husbands favorite maternity dress I purchased in the last 9 months.

Overall, I cannot recommend enough going to look at Macy’s maternity. Their vast selection of options and price points makes it perfect for every expecting mom. I am so glad I found it but I wish I had known about their selection sooner. I guess that just means I know where to go for baby #2 🙂

Maison du Soir Begonia

::  black :: cream ::  pink ::  floral ::

The last set of my Maison du Soir collaboration. What a fun ride it has been – Rio, Geneva Gardens, Geneva Pool, Normandy, and Normandy again, Paris, and lastly, London. The sets are settled back in Dallas and being worn frequently but my how I wish I was backing wearing them around other parts of the world! Since the last Begonia set in Paris was forced to be worn as a dress I thought it was only fitting to show it again in London at The Kensington Hotel. What a beautiful hotel for a beautiful pajama! I decided to shoot these straight out of bed – very real life! I kind of love the voyeuristic feel to these photos! Almost like you are waking up with me.

I am really sad this collaboration has come to an end but I hope I have been able to share the beauty that is Maison du Soir! It is like my friend said the other day when I was wearing them, “they definitely look beautiful on your blog but they are even more beautiful in person.” I could never do these amazing pieces justice but I do hope I was able to open your eyes to a new brand that is changing the pajama industry! And if you trust me on only one thing – it is that your closet needs a set of Maison du Soir! Please let me know if you have questions on any sizes I wore or on the pajamas in general!  Thanks for following along!

Gold and Gray Moss Agate & Bone Spike necklace ::  Gold and Gray Medium Wood Tassel bracelets

There are certain pieces of jewelry I wear daily – wedding band, skinny pave ring, pinky knot ring, Dana Rebecca Lauren Joy necklace, and most recently my Gold & Gray pieces. I must admit, I am usually not one for beaded pieces, I have always preferred dainty gold jewelry over anything statement like. However, Gold and Gray has definitely changed my mind. I find myself reaching for the Moss Agate & Bone necklace every day! It is absolutely beautiful in person and every time I wear it, without fail, I get someone who asks where it is from. I didn’t realize just how versatile a piece like it is. I wore it on the beaches in Brazil, to a cocktail hour in Geneva, and every day since in Dallas. I am absolutely a fan of their pieces and thought you all should know about them too!
