I have always been fascinated by photography. I have spent countless hours studying photographs of people, while considering the angles, the lighting, and the editing the photographer used. I love the fact that photography has the amazing ability to transport us to a different time, or place with one single shot.
It was not until I started blogging that I decided to take photography more seriously. With camera in hand, I started experimenting with photographs of my apartment, of friends, and family. It was after experimenting in this way that I realized my passion for photography. I have no formal training or background in this field, but I realize that passion can open your eyes to the impossible, so not only did I invest in the proper equipment I also spent the necessary time to learn everything I could to enhance the skill it takes to be proficient with this passion.
I enjoy, and appreciate the opportunity to photograph bloggers, couples, influencers who make an impact in their profession, families, and also lifestyle type setting. I take an individual approach to each person I photograph. I make every effort to embrace and highlight the focus of what they are trying to convey to their audience with each session.
I look forward to working together and capturing the potential magnificence of your moments through my eyes and the lens of my camera.
I love stacking rings. I think it is the quickest way to add a touch of “cool” to your outfit. My favorite go-to for these stackable rings is Glamrocks Jewelry. She was one of the first on the scene a few years ago and has made quite the name for herself. Her rings are dainty, light, and perfect- A daily wear! Kristen, of Glamrocks, has partnered with M.A.S. to offer one lucky winner all five of the rings pictured above. To enter, follow the instructions below…Ends March 3rd.
During NYC Fashion Week one of my favorite things I did was attend Mackenzie Horan’s, Design Darling blogger brunch. Mackenzie is such an amazing person! With her witty sense of humor, kindness, and entrepreneurial spirit, she is extremely inspiring. Coming from two parents who are very entrepreneurial I have always respected and admired these types of people. Since I respect the hard work that goes into running your own business, one of my favorite things I get to do as a blogger is support small business.
Supporting small business is easy when they are as amazing as Mackenzie’s boutique, Design Darling. So that I don’t continue to gush this entire post, (we know how I love to “over love” my fellow bloggers), I thought I would share some of my favorite pieces from her boutique so you can see for yourself how amazing everything is. You are sure to always find something you love either for yourself or as a gift for someone else. It is my first place I go to when I want to find something unique, cute, cool, and trendy.

Looking for some new blogs to read?
Here is a list of other bloggers who attended the brunch (what a powerful/talented group of ladies)
When people ask what my blog is about I usually answer, “my personal style and things that inspire me.” I love sharing inspiring, new, designers, ideas, or websites. Whether it be fashion, art, or home decor, I try to write about what is inspiring me at that moment. Right now that moment is Kira Plastinina. You may remember her label, Lublu, from the video I did with my gal pals; A Hot Day In December. She was kind enough to lend us some amazing pieces for the shoot. When I first walked in all of the deep blues and really cool patterns grabbed my attention. Her pieces are so unique and high quality, you can’t help but swoon.
When I opened my inbox the other morning to a new press release of her spring/summer line I had to open it. I must be honest, bloggers receive so many press releases a day from people asking us to write about their clients “new line,” it is hard to read them all. Most of the time the designs are terrible and you feel bad for the firm who has to represent them. Lublu is so, NOT one of those designers. You know the designer is good when you can’t click on the, “download file” fast enough. She always has fresh ideas and beautiful pieces and her new spring/summer line did not disappoint. It actually is my favorite she has done thus far. The beautiful emerald greens, whites, and flowy fabric make it unforgettable and really inspiring. I couldn’t stop looking at the items trying to find a favorite, but alas, it is absolutely impossible!
I hope you check out Kira and her designs at Lublu! If you are in Dallas check out her beautiful shop in Preston Center or browse online!
