I have always been fascinated by photography. I have spent countless hours studying photographs of people, while considering the angles, the lighting, and the editing the photographer used. I love the fact that photography has the amazing ability to transport us to a different time, or place with one single shot.
It was not until I started blogging that I decided to take photography more seriously. With camera in hand, I started experimenting with photographs of my apartment, of friends, and family. It was after experimenting in this way that I realized my passion for photography. I have no formal training or background in this field, but I realize that passion can open your eyes to the impossible, so not only did I invest in the proper equipment I also spent the necessary time to learn everything I could to enhance the skill it takes to be proficient with this passion.
I enjoy, and appreciate the opportunity to photograph bloggers, couples, influencers who make an impact in their profession, families, and also lifestyle type setting. I take an individual approach to each person I photograph. I make every effort to embrace and highlight the focus of what they are trying to convey to their audience with each session.
I look forward to working together and capturing the potential magnificence of your moments through my eyes and the lens of my camera.
Morning! Surprise Saturday post! I hope you are enjoying all of the Maison du Soir photos. I have a new set coming next week which I am really excited to share! They are out of this world. 🙂 For now, I will share with you my last day in Geneva. I woke up early to enjoy a hot cup of coffee and the musings of an early morning. It is always hard to wake-up early on vacation but the reward is worth the effort. The stillness and beauty of a quiet morning are captivating. Since we rotate holiday’s with the in-laws I won’t be back to Geneva for a while, so taking the morning slow and enjoying it from start to finish was absolutely mandatory. I can still picture the beautiful flowers and the birds chirping in the garden. The perfect scene for a last day. And the perfect backdrop for my last day of wearing the beautiful Sophia and Jaclyn p.j.’s. Stay tuned on the next beautiful set! I can not wait to share them!
Well, it’s the weekend and I, like many of you, am so damn excited! My parents arrive in the next few hours and I am finally done with my two week clean eating challenge!!! Wine, here I come! I plan to keep the detox going because I feel great, but I sure am looking forward to one cheat day. Since I have been promising snaps from Brazil for far too long I thought today, Friday, I would share some from the beaches and the pools! I took these while traveling throughout Brazil – Rio de Janeiro, Angra, and some other city I can’t remember. oops! I hope they put you in the summertime mood! Happy Friday
I really, whole-heartily believe you need to tell the universe what you want. Everyone always asks if I read, “The Secret” and I haven’t but I have believed this for a long time. My dear friend Molly gave me the book to read but I never quite finished it. However, even before the book my interest was piqued. I have seen it happen many times over, people who know what they want, say it aloud, and it happens. Growing up I had the mentality, “whatever happens was meant to be.” Now, I am not waiting around for “whatever happens,” I want to make it happen. I want to grab the bull by the horns and make it listen. I am ready for bigger things and I hope the universe is listening!
Lets get real for a second – I see an intuitive councilor a few times a year. She taps into the “other side” of things and helps me with issues I may not even know I am struggling with. Quite powerful! She is HUGE on visualizing and vocalizing what you want. I have been practicing this “visualization and vocalization” for a while now and see a significant difference. I am not saying if you visualize to win the lottery you will win but I think if you see what you want in life, imagine yourself there, and speak it aloud and you may just be surprised.
Okay, so why did I get off on this tangent of thought – because last night it ended up being around 80 degrees and very breezy! Remember in yesterday’s post I was complaining so much about the heat and how horrible it was? Well, it is just like the universe heard my pleas! It is currently a cool 75 and overcast! Listening much? Okay, okay, so this is totally a random act of God but I thought it was quite humorous! I even had another bright summery look lined up for today’s post just to say sorry for being such a negative nancy yesterday! I was going to say how the Texas heat really isn’t that bad but then I got hit with 75 and I realized…no it really is that bad! So instead I leave with some food for thought and a bright look!
