I love this quote! Interesting and different are always two of the best combos. Lately, I have been feeling a bit stale in the creative realm and have been really wanting to reach out to people I know are interesting and different. Dallas is full of these creative types and I am ready to take full advantage! Accepting friend applications! 😉

I want to also thank everyone who came to the CUSP event last night. It meant the world to see all the people who showed up and I really appreciate it (shout out to fellow Dallas bloggers: Brooke, Sam, + Ashley). It was a really fun night and I loved getting to meet Jen and Monica. They are so sweet, and like the above, interesting and different. One has a super cool blog she does with her friend about styling Target clothing (I am sure you’ve heard of it), and the other, is a singer and jewelry designer. I am not worthy. Needless to say, the night was great!

Lastly, I found out that voting for your favorite, “Rocker Chic,” look doesn’t end until Sunday! I could still use your help! 🙂 Vote here!

FD Luxe + Neiman Marcus Event

Hi. Hola. Bonjour. Ciao. I am back from London and a little sad. It was such an amazing time seeing my in-laws and the city is one of my favorites. One of the reasons I came back was to host the event, Battle of the Bloggers, at Neiman Marcus downtown. I hope all of you in Dallas will join me. It is sure to be a good time with food, drinks, a DJ, and a nail bar. See details for the event above!

London Update + Bauble Bar Bling

First things, first. London is amazing and I am ready to move. Second, it has been a really nice moment getting to spend time with my in-laws (memories made). Third, I need your help in a style competition I am in. I had such an amazing turnout yesterday. I was in shock at how many people e-mailed or commented to let me know they voted. Now, on to this post. My sweet sister-in-law took my pictures as we were strolling through Notting Hill. We had an absolute amazing day walking through the park barefoot, stopping at local shops, and enjoying all the character London has to offer. Speaking of character, have you seen her flat I posted on Instagram? I have been staying with her this entire week and I am ready to move in. I am tearful at the thought I have to leave. She has been an amazing hostess and we have had the absolute best time.

Now to the statement piece. This necklace was sent to me via Bauble Bar, right before I left. The necklae itself is very different than my usual jewelry statements, but it is always nice to step out of the box. I thought it looked really cool paired with my new Cos sweater! Mixing edgy and feminine is a nice juxtaposition and a great change from my usual style.
