I have always been fascinated by photography. I have spent countless hours studying photographs of people, while considering the angles, the lighting, and the editing the photographer used. I love the fact that photography has the amazing ability to transport us to a different time, or place with one single shot.
It was not until I started blogging that I decided to take photography more seriously. With camera in hand, I started experimenting with photographs of my apartment, of friends, and family. It was after experimenting in this way that I realized my passion for photography. I have no formal training or background in this field, but I realize that passion can open your eyes to the impossible, so not only did I invest in the proper equipment I also spent the necessary time to learn everything I could to enhance the skill it takes to be proficient with this passion.
I enjoy, and appreciate the opportunity to photograph bloggers, couples, influencers who make an impact in their profession, families, and also lifestyle type setting. I take an individual approach to each person I photograph. I make every effort to embrace and highlight the focus of what they are trying to convey to their audience with each session.
I look forward to working together and capturing the potential magnificence of your moments through my eyes and the lens of my camera.
You didn’t think I could just show these Maison du Soir constellation pajamas once, did you? I honestly loved these so much I had to share them again. I won’t chat much about how amazing they are because you read that last week, but I had to make them fresh in your mind! I seriously believe every closet needs a pair of Maison du Soir. So girls, ask for your birthday, Christmas, stocking stuff, Valentines Day, a “just because,” shower gift, any reason you can think of! I promise you will be happy you did!

Happy Friday! I decided to swap my Quote Friday for a new outfit. However, there has been a quote on my mind lately that I wanted to share. It might seem like a bit of a downer but let me explain. “There’s something wrong with your character if opportunity controls your loyalty.” Wow. I actually had typed out an entire paragraph venting about certain situations that make this statement so perfect but decided to spare you and let this quote marinate with you, as it has me this past week. I don’t think it needs much explanation, only a few minutes to read and re-read. It is so very very powerful…thoughts?
Okay, so I usually like my quote Friday’s to be positive and I usually don’t wear flouncy dresses but there is a first time for everything! Since I felt the above was a little heavy for a Friday I thought counterbalancing it with a lively dress was only necessary. Perfect segway? or just plain cheesy? Cheesy. But hey, I had to tie them together somehow! To be honest, I have lots of outfits in the queue and want to make sure I can post them before the items sell out 🙂 Which is usually what happens! I am terrible at getting ahead!
Back to this “out of the ordinary” dress. You are going to laugh when I tell you this but my goal these past few months has been to go super minimal and dress like the french. No, but really. Before I go out at night I look at my Style Inspiration board on Pinterest and pull looks that aline with what I have pinned. That is why, if you have seen me, I am usually in skinny pants and a blazer (they love that look). Most everything I pin is for cooler weather (b/c I hate this heat so much) so I was a bit miffed at what to wear when it is 100+ degrees outside. Welcome, google. Yup, this blogger actually googled, “what do french wear in the summer.” I can’t believe I just admitted to that, however, it was very knowledgeable. One thing I noticed they wear a lot of – small print floral dresses and strappy sandals. Yup, I took it that literal. Since I can’t be back in France any time soon, I have to be inspired by their dress. And I literally was! That is why I decided to pull the trigger on this Cynthia Rowley Flounce dress that I normally wouldn’t wear – because I had to do as the french do!
