IN MY CLOSET

It’s that time of the month! No, not that time! Time for another addition of, In My Closet! I am headed to Colorado today with the hubs for my fifth wedding in a row! Man oh man, it is wedding season!

I am super excited to get there as Brice and I are turning it into a mini vacay and have lots of fun little things to do around the city! I am also super excited to get out of this raging Texas heat! Lets compare. Texas at night= 95, Colorado at night= 65! I will take the latter. For this, In My Closet, I wanted to share an outfit I have been living in the past few weeks, my leather shorts and baggy tank. It is so easy and comfortable, I can’t be bothered to think of something else to wear. Since the weather in Colorado will be a bit chillier than what I am used to, I am breaking out my new scarf. I love this look and can’t wait to rock it in the cool COLO.

Delicate Name Plate Bracelet

I have been a fan of delicate jewelry for a while now. The simplicity of a little gold chain should never be underestimated. When I stumbled upon these sweet, and very delicate, name plate bracelets I was hooked. I loved how understated the entire bracelet was. As if I couldn’t love it more, I then noticed the tiny engraved name. I am not the kind of girl that likes to wear my name printed largely across anywhere, so I was totally sold when I saw how delicately they engraved it on the bracelet. Perfection! I think it would make a great gift to give  yourself a friend!

The shop just closed for the month of August to stock-up on new inventory! I can’t wait to see what new jewelry they come up with! In the mean time shop name-plate jewelry here. 
 

CHOOSING A LIP COLOR

                   

Last week I had a really sweet reader write in asking which lip color I use. I realized that besides posting about my, Revlon, “love that red,” I have never really talked about it. Crazy, considering I am a total lipstick/gloss junkie. I live in my colors from MAC, Smashbox, Chanel, and Nars. They all hve such a wide variety of options and they aren’t too heavy on the lip. During the day I always try to stick with neutral tones (unless I am going for my pop of red) and at night I try to play the lip up a little more. It is always fun to test out lipsticks and find your “signature” color. Mine for daytime is, Chanel, “Pimpante” and night, Revlon, “Love That Red.”
