I love a good monochromatic look. Not only does it always look good, it is also a no-brainer. I have been a fan of wearing red from head to toe for years but I never quite thought grey would be my go-to. When you think of grey you might think of prison suits, boring, sad, or unflattering. However, you would be wrong. Grey is chic, easy, timeless, flattering, and quite fun to wear. You can wear it alone or dress it up with crazy accessories. How fun would this necklace be or these ear cuffs? Grey alone or with red are quickly becoming my favorite fall colors (seen in outfits here and here). I know burgundy or, “Oxford Blood” as it is called in the fashion world, is always a go-to for fall trends but this year it is all about grey! Yes, grey! SO go out and find yourself a beautiful grey wool pencil skirt or an elegant grey sweater. You will have so much fun dressing the pieces that you won’t want to go back to Oxford Blood – and let’s be honest, don’t you think that is just about the worst name for a color in the entire naming history?
J.Crew Drapey Wool sweatpant, J.Crew Cashmere Boyfriend sweater (25% off with code PICKSALE), Vince ‘Blair’ sneaker (now 50% off), Ippolita ‘Stardust’ Disc earrings, Hermes “H” bracelet (in orange), Jennifer Zeuner necklace, Ray Ban Aviator sunnies, Brandy Pham Double Needle ring // beauty:: Chanel Pimpante Rouge Allure Lip color
I love this look on you! Could I ask what size you took in the pants? I want to order some but am unsure of sizing and my local J Crew is out of sizes!
HI! Thank you for your comment 🙂 I took my regular size 8. They fit pretty true to size but have a baggy look. I think you could definitely size down if you wanted! I hope that helps! xx
I love monochromatic looks, I think they are sooo chic. I also have been into the slide on sneaker look. I have added a few pairs of Vans to my shoe collection and love how comfortable they are. Not to mention they are extremely versatile.
sooo stinking cute, I love a monochromatic look anyday!
Loving the new blog! I think it is just perfect!
I love that you paired a yellow background with this look! And I agree, all gray can be a really exciting look
