I have always been fascinated by photography. I have spent countless hours studying photographs of people, while considering the angles, the lighting, and the editing the photographer used. I love the fact that photography has the amazing ability to transport us to a different time, or place with one single shot.
It was not until I started blogging that I decided to take photography more seriously. With camera in hand, I started experimenting with photographs of my apartment, of friends, and family. It was after experimenting in this way that I realized my passion for photography. I have no formal training or background in this field, but I realize that passion can open your eyes to the impossible, so not only did I invest in the proper equipment I also spent the necessary time to learn everything I could to enhance the skill it takes to be proficient with this passion.
I enjoy, and appreciate the opportunity to photograph bloggers, couples, influencers who make an impact in their profession, families, and also lifestyle type setting. I take an individual approach to each person I photograph. I make every effort to embrace and highlight the focus of what they are trying to convey to their audience with each session.
I look forward to working together and capturing the potential magnificence of your moments through my eyes and the lens of my camera.
Let’s face it, when we choose a restaurant we want it to look good. Not only for the experience but also for a snap or two. Don’t roll your eyes, you know you are guilty of wanting to take a fantastic image to let all of your friends/followers know where you are. Being a blogger/photographer one of my favorite things I get to do is try new places and then share them with you. I take the entire idea of snapping photos to share probably more serious than I should. But hey, it is all about a good photo! I mean, I have done some pretty crazy things to get the right angle, lighting, and shot. Thinking back, it is quite embarrassing. Since food is one of my passions I thought, “wouldn’t it be great to share some of Dallas best spots?” Dallas has quite the restaurant scene (getting better every day) so I have done the hard work for you and created a list of what I believe to be “Dallas Best Instagrammable Restaurants.” So write them down and get to snapping! I promise, your feed (and your belly) will thank you!
I have a lot of favorites when it comes to places I shop. Often times when I find a hidden gem I try to keep it a secret for as long as possible. It is a selfish trait I posses and I know I need to share but sometimes I just like to keep things to myself. I am usually a BIG online shopper but no matter how many boxes arrive at my door there really is no feeling like going into a store, feeling the fabrics, getting to know the employees, and walking out with a bag in hand.
Dallas boutiques often times make me nervous. They are either extremely expensive or dedicated to a different audience. I have had a hard time finding a boutique that feels just right. However, from the moment I walked through the doors at Shop September I felt instantly at ease. Laura, the owner is a transplant from LA and is as laid-back as they come. We hit it off quite soon and enjoyed most of our time standing around chatting. She has a wicked cool style and a fantastic eye for new designers. She is actually one of the only boutiques I know in Dallas which carries some of my favorite Aussie brands! Laura is just about the coolest addition to Dallas this year and I couldn’t be more excited to find her (and her boutique).
So there you have it – my hidden little secret. If you are in the Dallas area or ever visit you definitely have to pop in and say hi. The store is so cute and separated into two parts – High and low street. There really is a price point for everyone! Also, if you are a reader in the US you are in luck – I have partnered with Laura to give one lucky lady a $50 gift card to the boutique or online store. To enter follow the widget below…
