Oh how I (recently) love a good pant. Since your individual style is always evolving I wasn’t surprised when at the beginning of this year all I wanted to shop for was pants. What I was shocked at, is that I was covering the one body part that I liked the most.  We all have our body hang-ups or areas that we like to show and areas that we like to cover – my area to cover has always been my mid-section and my area to show off has always been my legs. Whenever my weight fluctuates my legs remain consistently the same, therefore I usually put them on display so I can hide my “problem” areas. Uhg, problem areas! They really are the pits! But these areas can always be easily hidden and or tricked into looking great! For example if you love or hate your legs – pants are your new friend. After wearing pants the past few weeks (a different pair in my latest post Paris on my Mind) I realized that they actually elongating and extenuate. For example, if you want your legs to look longer, wear high-waisted pants. If you want your legs to look skinnier, wear a wide-leg pant. We all have problem areas but it is all in how you style them or trick them into looking great! For more tips I found this article and this article to be interesting.

Okay, so before I leave you I did want to mention this incredibly badass necklace I am wearing. I stumbled upon the jewelry brand, Young Frankk, on Instagram. I usually bookmark shops and then decide if I want to buy something in the following weeks, not with Young Frankk. I was instantly drawn to a few pieces but pulled the trigger on this necklace that very day. Christine Young, the mastermind behind the brand, is an artist turned jewlery designer and hand-makes each piece from her studio in Richmond, Virginia.   I am super excited to watch her career unfold as I think she is really talented! I hope you all check her out!

I have Paris on my mind. I go through fazes like this where I can’t help but google Paris or Parisian style, I practice french, and I watch french movies. This happens about once or twice a year, where I get really into the french. It usually goes away within a few days but while it is around, I bask in it.

This past trip abroad was a trip  of a lifetime. How often do you get to travel with your in-laws and parents around the world? We made memories that will last a lifetime. I was really excited to show my parents Paris as it has long been a love of mine. I couldn’t wait to show them why I loved it so much and all the beauty it has. To me, it is the most beautiful city in the world. With the ornate architecture, beautiful bridges, and romantic energy. Unfortunately we didn’t have much time in Paris and our stop there was a rush of trying to show them as much as possible in the little time we had. It ended up being beautiful and we were able to show them a lot but they missed the reasons why I love it most. I love walking the back streets and stopping in random cafes to enjoy a glass of champagne or coffee and people watching. I love to stroll the sidewalks and look up as much as possible so I don’t miss any of the beauty in the buildings. I love to grab macaroons and sit in a park taking it all in. Since we didn’t have enough time to do these, I can only dream of our next time in Paris. Until then, I will google my Parisians, practice my french, and watch my movies!
