When I first moved into my house I was so excited to start decorating. I have talked about the trials I have had with trying to incorporate my husbands furniture with my style before, so I won’t bore you with the details only tell you how I have semi-accomplished this – with small accessories in each room. Since the base of any house is centered around its furniture the vibe was already set – minimal, modern, masculine. I love these three interior styles but wanted my first home to be cozier. I have tried warming it up with rugs, art work, and lots of little accessories everywhere. One of the accessory solutions I used is adding trays. I have trays all over the house – living room, kitchen, office, bathroom and bedroom. They are the perfect way to decorate small spaces while keeping it contained and organized. I always see pictures of trays on Pinterest which inspire me to rearrange my own. I did this last night and played with a few different scenarios but ultimately snapped shots of this one. I pictured it in a bathroom, in-between the his and her sink. It has all of my necessities – champagne, perfume, candles, a ring holder, and a few bracelets.

While your tray can be filled with whatever you would like I would keep it simple and convenient. So if it is in your bedroom try to stock it with bedside table books, candle, hand lotion and your reading glasses. If it is in your office you can fill it with a cute pencil holder, a little bubbly for those tough days, notepads, and your business cards. Wherever you put your tray, the contents inside should be practical to the space.

M.A.S. INTERVIEWS ::: CHASSITY

Look-Linger-Love

I had the opportunity to hang out with Chassity, of Look Linger Love, during NYFW. What a gem this girl is! There are a few bloggers in the business who everyone can agree they are a genuinely a sweet person – Chassity is one of those people. When you meet her you walk away thinking about how “kind” she was. She really listens to you when you talk, which is something I appreciate in this day-and-age. While everyone is busy reading their latest e-mail or checking how many likes their last photo received, she is listening and hanging on to every word you say. Really taking an interest in you and what you have to say. On one of the nights in NYC I was able to sit next to her at dinner. She is so easy to talk to and definitely someone who makes your night better for just being there. You kind of just want to go home, put on pj’s, and girl talk all night! She is that kind of person – kind, funny, down-to-earth, and someone you just want to be friends with.  I mean, any girl who will split a plate of cheese fries with me is definitely a girl I want to be friends with! And lets just say, we devoured some cheese fries!

Her blog is full of beautiful images, outfits, and internet finds that you are sure to get lost for hours. One of my favorite parts of her blog? Lilly Likes.  It is centered around her adorable daughter, Lilly, and all things that she likes or things that every mother needs to buy their daughter! She finds the cutest things, and dresses Lilly so impeccably this will surely be your favorite spot to visit too! I mean, does it get any cuter than this?  So, let’s go over the checklist – Chassity’s style is amazing (voted top 75 most fashionable southerners by Southern Living), her daughter is almost too cute to handle, she finds the best products on the web, her creativity is out of this world, she is incredibly kind, and is genuine in her actions. Yes, I would say Chassity is the bees knee! Or to put it another way, I really respect/admire this gal! All of this is why she is this months M.A.S. INTERVIEWS.

I hope you check her out and follow this amazing lady, I promise you, you will love what she has to offer!

I have always loved the color red. It is so bold and powerful. I am a fan wether it is on my lips, nails, or feet. When I was little my aunt and I would send each other random pictures of red lips because we both loved them so much. I was always too young to try the bold color myself but I have now grown-up and live in the shade! I still think of my aunt every time I put my red lips on! I remember I used to get so frustrated after every time she kissed me because I would get these red lips imprinted on my cheek. She would get the biggest kick out of it while I would walk to the bathroom to try and scrub it off. And red lipstick is h.a.r.d. to get off! Now that I wear the shade, my sweet husband gets to walk to the bathroom to try and scrub it off while I get the kick. Apple really doesn’t fall that far, does it?

This spring I have been drawn to mostly light, blush colors but then I saw these. BAM! I have been wanting a red shoe for a while now and these were perfect. Edgy and cool but still very appropriate for multiple occasions. You would be surprised all the ways you can wear a red shoe – with jeans, floral dress, white pants, blue outfit, all red, and so many more. They always add the extra color pop that an outfit needs to stand out. I wore them pretty simple here to let them shine in all of their glory but I have a few other ways I am excited to pair them! Really though, your closet needs a red shoe this season!
