Well, we made it! Molly and I officially landed in London this morning. I am so excited to be here and get to share one of my favorite cities/ experiences with my bestie. Since jet lag is setting in I am off to take a quick nap. This post is short and simple but I hope you all follow along on our travels via Instagram (#mmjumpthepond).

Happy Saturday! I thought I would surprise you with an outfit post before I just off overseas! One of my absolute favorite purchases in the past year was this cape dress by Azeeza. I met the designer in Chicago and was able to tour her beautiful shop. All of her pieces are unique (you may remember this hat I also bought from her) and memorable. Perfect for any wardrobe! I have worn this cape to many event around Dallas and was excited to show it off at NYFW. It is the perfect accessory for a basic dress and makes a statement wherever you go. Something about me- I secretly want to be a witch so I get really excited every time I get to wear it! Now, where is my broomstick? Just joking. 🙂

I hope you all had a fantastic Valentines day! Ours was fun, magical, and unforgettable! I just love that holiday. I am scurrying around Dallas today shooting some exciting projects before I leave. I really hope to update the blog daily while I am gone, but you may remember traveling and blogging has not always gone so well. But since I am traveling with another blogger, I feel that this trip I will be able to break my habit of going MIA and keep you all updated!

In honor of Valentines Day I thought I would throw in a few little love quotes! Valentines Day has always been one of my favorite holidays (yes, it is a holiday). Maybe it is the hopeless romantic in me, but a day dedicated to love is okay by me. It actually makes me so giddy! Have you ever had one of those moments when a smell or place instantly brings back memories? Valentines Day does that for me. Something about all of the red and pink, the cards, and the flowers takes me back to elementary school, when I would get so excited to hand out cards and eat candy. I remember waking up and opening my door, when I lived at home with my parents, and every Valentines day my mom had made baskets full of little goodies for all of us. It was always such a happy day!

Now that I am older, and married, I still try to make the day as special as possible. Last year, I bought 50 balloons and 100 candles to fill up my entire apartment (so cliche but so necessary). This year, will be more low-key but just as special and fun! I know some people tend to bash today, which I have never understood, but even if you are an “anti-Valentines day” kind of person, at least try to enjoy all the free chocolate you are sure to get! Have a happy day, full of love! xo
