I have always been fascinated by photography. I have spent countless hours studying photographs of people, while considering the angles, the lighting, and the editing the photographer used. I love the fact that photography has the amazing ability to transport us to a different time, or place with one single shot.
It was not until I started blogging that I decided to take photography more seriously. With camera in hand, I started experimenting with photographs of my apartment, of friends, and family. It was after experimenting in this way that I realized my passion for photography. I have no formal training or background in this field, but I realize that passion can open your eyes to the impossible, so not only did I invest in the proper equipment I also spent the necessary time to learn everything I could to enhance the skill it takes to be proficient with this passion.
I enjoy, and appreciate the opportunity to photograph bloggers, couples, influencers who make an impact in their profession, families, and also lifestyle type setting. I take an individual approach to each person I photograph. I make every effort to embrace and highlight the focus of what they are trying to convey to their audience with each session.
I look forward to working together and capturing the potential magnificence of your moments through my eyes and the lens of my camera.
The military look is one of this falls hottest trends. While I love a great tailored jacket and pant I can’t help but move toward loose dresses that are comfortable for me to wear all day and “go with the flow.” To incorporate this trend into my kind of “lifestyle” I decided to go literal pairing the army green color and a pair of really structured boots. SIDE NOTE– A good over-the-knee boot is something I would always suggest investing in. Even if you have jeans and a t-shirt they can take it from meh to wow. Think about saving up for a pair this season. You won’t regret it. Back to the outfit, I thought the dress needed a little more depth so I added the jacket in a similar color. I love playing with similar color on similar color. I think it is unexpected and usually comes out really nice!
Over the past year I have had the pleasure of getting to know Jennifer of Haute Off The Rack. She is a fiery Louisianian and one hell of a go-getter. Did I mention she is about as pretty and kind as they come? When she asked me to be featured on her site as a Blogger Spotlight I couldn’t have been more excited!
Since getting engaged I have been excited at the idea I will get to live in a house. An actual house. Not a shoebox apartment where I don’t have any control over what colors the walls are or if I get carpet or wood floor.
The timing is perfect as my fiancé just bought his first home. Upon this purchase he decided to put some of his own decorating into the house…his own, very masculine decorating. This is okay since it is his house for now but one room that remains untouched is the office. With white walls, shelves, a chandelier, and two french doors my mind started reeling to what I could do. I have never had an office of my own and after seeing the way my eyes glistened when looking into the room he told me I could do what I wanted. My heart skipped a beat. Literally. Skip
Ever since I received this good news I have been saving inspiration pictures of other offices I like. And because this blog is about my personal taste I thought I should share. What are your thoughts?!
