I had such a fabulous time in London, my only regret is that my stay wasn’t longer. While there we wandered around the city, ate at the cutest little eats in Chelsea and Notting Hill, and discovered parts of the city I had yet to go. One of these new places was Portobello Market. I know it is quite the staple in London, but even after all of my visits to the city I had never been. I am not much of a Vintage or “market” kind of shopper, and it isn’t because I don’t love them, but because I am not very good at them. I find it so hard/frustrating to dig for items that, in the end, weren’t what you thought they were going to be. I wish I was good at this kind of shopping, but alas, it is not one of my strengths. Because of this inability I tend to stay away from these types of places. However, if the market is outside, on a pretty day, on a colorful street in London, I am game! While we didn’t find anything, it was worth every minute to soak in the scene,  giggle at some of the items the vendors were selling (authentic cowboy boots from Texas), and see a London it spot. If you are patient and looking for unique antiques, I would recommend going. If you don’t find anything, like me, you will at least enjoy taking in your surroundings.

  1. This looks absolutely beautiful and so fun! I will have to put it on my to do list next time I’m in London! I completely understand your sentiments about shopping in flea markets, I love to look but often come home empty handed. At least you have the memories and the pictures!
