Spring Outfit Inspiration

I have mentioned before how rough this time of year is. From the fickle weather, monstrous allergies, and confused fashion I think we all breathe a sigh of relief when spring has officially sprung. In Dallas the weather will literally go from 90 to 55 in one day, as we are experiencing right now. Since I can’t predict how hot or cold the end of the day will be I have been wearing a lot of jeans (these in particular) and blouses. This way I am cool enough for hotter temperatures and can throw on a jacket if it should get suddenly chilly.

This blouse is by far my favorite new purchase! Trust me, you will see it a lot! It comes in three colors, is super soft, and is under $70! I really want this green color for my safari this summer! And the black would be so chic with black jeans or a black skirt and my new shoes!

What To Wear Skiing

To say that I was nervous to go skiing was an understatement. However, if you look the part you can be the part. My first order of business before my trip – find the perfect outfit! I had been lusting over ski outfits for months and I knew there was one place that had it all – Saint Bernard. I found exactly what I was looking for! An outfit that was chic, not ordinary, and would stand the test of time. My favorite part of the look were my Erin Snow Slim Leg Ski pant (which are on sale). I literally had women stop me and ask where my pants were from! Each woman said she hated how baggy  her pants were and had been searching for a skinny pant. My husband was worried the pants wouldn’t be warm enough but his worries were unnecessary as the pants were extremely warm! They were perfect from the slopes to après ski! Not only were women on the slopes wanting to know about my pants but women at the Ritz also came up asking where my cute red pants were from!

If you need ski outfits or any type of ski gear I would recommend going to Saint Bernard now. Everything is on sale which makes it the perfect time to stock up. There is nothing worse than regretting not buying something on sale and then having to pay full price later.

Everlane Cashmere Sweater

Everlane Cashmere sweater (14 color options)

There are a few things that I will never not have in my closet. A good pair of skinny jeans, a classic white button-up blouse, a leather jacket, a great pair of sneakers and my cashmere crewneck sweaters from Everlane. Besides my obvious love affair for Everlane, with their minimal and classic approach to clothing, I love that I can wear these sweaters from fall to spring and again the next year. The quality, cashmere, and craftsmanship is amazing! I literally wear these EVERY week in the cooler months. You can wear them alone, over a blouse, under a blazer, dress them up or down. They are the quintessential “closet staple” item.

If the word cashmere, because of the price tag associated with it, has already lost you. Stay a bit longer! Cashmere can usually be anywhere from $200-$700, making it quite the investment piece. Guess what? Everlane sells these sweaters for $100! Now you can have classic at a bargain! It doesn’t matter when you purchase these, just that you do! I promise you, you will forever be grateful you did!

p.s. If your sweaters ever pill, I use this magical tool given to me by my dear friend Debby. It is amazing at removing any pilled fabric and doesn’t damage your garment.

* I also swear by their 100%  silk blouses! I have this one in three different colors!
