Club Monaco faux leather shorts, Club Monaco t-shirt, Gianni Bini jacket (similar + similar), 3.1 Phillip Lim bag, Zara shoes, Glam Rocks + F21 rings, J.Crew belt worn as necklace (similar), F21 sunnies, Revlon “Love That Red” lipstick
This “necklace,” you see in the pictures was an emergency addition to the outfit. I was originally wearing, this beauty, that Molly was kind enough to let me borrow. I wanted to add a little length to it so Molly creatively used my gold belt to do so. The original LuLu Frost necklace was perfect and I was really excited to show off the look (seen here). Unfortunately, while at brunch I went to adjust it and it broke. I felt so badly! No one wants to be wearing someone else’s belongings when they break. THE.Worst. She was super cool about it and we ended up having a fabulous brunch, but I kept wondering how I was going to accessorize this very simple outfit. I then remembered the belt Molly had used earlier. I clipped it mid-way to create a similar length as the one before. Lesson of the day: when in doubt, use the resources around you!
many thanks to the amazing Molly Miller for the photography
Looking great Mary I draw so much inspiration from your personal style. Also got your tweet thanks a lot you stay so grounded with your blog and how you interact with your readers its so easy to keep coming back as a follower!!
Hi Mary! I LOVE your blog. Your outfits are so classic and incorporate designer pieces and more budget-friendly pieces. Looking at your blog is one of the first things I do in the morning! I just noticed that since the redesisgn, your blog isn’t showing up in my bloglovin feed – any idea why? Let me know! Thanks!
Loving everything about this look. Breaking a friend’s necklace is the worst, but I love the craftiness of turning a belt into a bauble. Quick thinking! Also, I can’t get over the fact that your sunnies are from F21! They look so much fancier. Nice find, lady.
