This Easter we were supposed to host Brice’s family. They were arriving from Switzerland and staying a few days so I wanted to make it extra special. I had an Easter egg hunt planned, a custom birthday cake, sports events scheduled, and a fabulous Easter brunch. However, like most plans these were all cancelled when Corona hit the fan. I was pretty bummed to not be able to host his family, especially since it would be his brother and sisters first time in our new house. However, I decided to turn lemons into lemonade and create my Easter table regardles.
Since there were three children who would be sitting at the table I wanted to make it fun, colorful, and practical. Instead of using fine china and stemware I opted for less expensive dinner plates and glasses from Williams and Sonoma. And to take it a step further, the placemats are paper! Easy to clean and I wouldn’t fret if something were to spill.
Although I won’t be using this table, I had fun putting it together. It has also been something happy and pretty to look at while I am locked in quarantine.
