Dear Clark Braid Bar :: Dallas

I was invited to get my hair braided at the new braid bar at Dear Clark a few days ago. I didn’t know too much about it beforehand, but upon hearing the word, “braid,” I was totally in. Ever since I was little I have been a sucker for a good braid. I used to comb through magazines and find one I loved and tried to replicate it. I even taught myself how to french braid because in the 90’s, you weren’t cool if you didn’t have a french braid. You name it, I have tried it; french, waterfall, fishtail, ect. I thought I was pretty proficient in the braiding department until I went to Dear Clark. OH.MY.GOODNESS. do they know braids!
I don’t want to give away too many details as this is one place in Dallas, you must go and experience for yourself, but let me just say, they know their shit! The braids run around $15 ($35 if you want a blow-out and braid) and take about 15 minutes to complete. And yes, you can bring in any braid you have seen online and they will re-create it. So all of those braids on Pinterest you have been saving, can now come to life! I can feel your excitement through the screen!
WARNING, If you are shy of attention or compliments. I have never been stopped by so many strangers asking how or who did my hair. I even slept on it and wore it the next day to Denver and TSA at the airport pulled me aside to tell me my hair was, “really cool.” And don’t get me started about the line of women in the bathroom wanting to look at it and ask how it was done. so celeb.

  1. This is so cool! I know that a great blow dry bar in Chicago (where I’m from) added braids to their menu too! I love the idea of a braid, it instantly turns laziness (of not wanting to style my hair) into chicness!
    Keep life sweet and stylish!
