Pink on Pink

Like most young girls, I loved pink. I remember I wanted all the pink things and could never have enough. And like most teens, I grew out of that obsession and began to like it less and less. However, once I found out I was having a girl, my love of pink flooded back in. I had not worn pink (minus one badass pink Tibi coat I have) in probably a decade. Now, I can not see an item in pink and not purchase it.

One of my favorite ways to style items is to wear them in the same color tone. I love wearing a light pink mixed with a darker pink. It is a fun (and chic) way to wear the hue!

One Of My Favorite Pants Ever: Zara Tuxedo Pant

outfit details // Zara Tuxedo pant, Sam Edelman Tristan heels

True story: I broke the zipper on these pants while trying to zip them for this shoot! Yup, that is a true, “I just had a baby” story. I was also devastated because these are one of my favorite pants ever! Even though I can’t fit into 90% of my pants right now without looking like the Michelin Man I still find myself trying to squeeze into them. I LOVE a good pant. I reach for my pants way before I reach for a dress. They are so chic and can make a real statement. These Zara Tuxedo pants at $39 are SUCH a steal! I have them in this color way and also white with a black stripe. I wear them ALL fall/winter/spring long! They have an elastic waist in the back which make them very mom friendly! I love pairing them with sneakers for a casual running around town look and then throwing on heels for a night out!

Never Have I Ever: Worn Leopard

Outfit Details // Zara Leopard Skirt, Zara SweaterHeart Sunglasses

Okay, so this is a little bit of a lie. I have worn a leopard before but it is never really my “thing”. I have friends who fall head-over-heels when they see a leopard piece. Me? I smile, nod, and walk away. I have never understood the obsession with it. So you can understand my shock when I opened a package from Zara, hoping to see a pair of navy pants, and laying there is a leopard skirt. Not only did they send me the wrong item, they sent me an item I would never ever wear! I threw the box on my floor with the intent to return it the next day. But, things got busy around the Hafner house and I never had time to return the “mistake”. Instead, I decided to see what all the fuss was about and tried on the damn thing. Well, I liked it. I didn’t love it right away, but I really liked it. A few days later, I loved it! I can’t say that I will be buying more leopard pieces in the future but I am pretty content with my skirt! I guess it goes to show, your style can seriously evolve!

If you are looking for a leopard piece, I have rounded up a few that I actually like (all under $150). Shop by clicking on the photos below:
