I have always been fascinated by photography. I have spent countless hours studying photographs of people, while considering the angles, the lighting, and the editing the photographer used. I love the fact that photography has the amazing ability to transport us to a different time, or place with one single shot.
It was not until I started blogging that I decided to take photography more seriously. With camera in hand, I started experimenting with photographs of my apartment, of friends, and family. It was after experimenting in this way that I realized my passion for photography. I have no formal training or background in this field, but I realize that passion can open your eyes to the impossible, so not only did I invest in the proper equipment I also spent the necessary time to learn everything I could to enhance the skill it takes to be proficient with this passion.
I enjoy, and appreciate the opportunity to photograph bloggers, couples, influencers who make an impact in their profession, families, and also lifestyle type setting. I take an individual approach to each person I photograph. I make every effort to embrace and highlight the focus of what they are trying to convey to their audience with each session.

First off- Has anyone that lives in Texas stepped outside yet? It actually feels like fall! Cool and crisp. A wonderful surprise! This weekend I am headed to Houston with my friend Molly for a dinner and exhibition by the one and only Gray Malin. Famous for his photography (you must know his Marfa/Prada prints) which he started selling out of a flea market in LA and has since displayed them in the Dallas Museum of the Art and the Julia Dean Gallery in Venice. His work is known across the world as his pictures always capture a certain feel that is extremely intriguing. check it out here.
I love giving gifts that people love. To see their faces when they open it is the best feeling in the world. The reaction makes all the stress and exhaustion of searching for that “perfect find” worth it. I literally beat my head over the desk during Christmas trying to think of what everyone will like. My best friend Amanda is exactly like this too. She is so thoughtful and always finds the most unique treasures. Last year for my birthday she gave me a french antique perfume bottle and the year before an amazing dream journal. Everything she finds is from the heart and you know it was well thought out.
This past birthday she gave me something I will love forever. A hand-made and customized dish to hold my engagement ring from Paloma’s Nest. She inscribed “forever and ever” with my wedding date. It is so personal and like nothing I have seen before. I plan to use this idea and gift it to those friends of mine who get engaged in the future.
Lets be honest. There are certain people in the world that you see from afar and know you want to get to know them better. Molly and Sally are those girls. They have a warm welcoming feeling but are so effortlessly cool that every time I get to hang out with them I leave feeling so inspired. Their blog has been a LONG time favorite of mine so when they asked me to be featured I literally squealed. Swear. Squealed.
