I have always been fascinated by photography. I have spent countless hours studying photographs of people, while considering the angles, the lighting, and the editing the photographer used. I love the fact that photography has the amazing ability to transport us to a different time, or place with one single shot.
It was not until I started blogging that I decided to take photography more seriously. With camera in hand, I started experimenting with photographs of my apartment, of friends, and family. It was after experimenting in this way that I realized my passion for photography. I have no formal training or background in this field, but I realize that passion can open your eyes to the impossible, so not only did I invest in the proper equipment I also spent the necessary time to learn everything I could to enhance the skill it takes to be proficient with this passion.
I enjoy, and appreciate the opportunity to photograph bloggers, couples, influencers who make an impact in their profession, families, and also lifestyle type setting. I take an individual approach to each person I photograph. I make every effort to embrace and highlight the focus of what they are trying to convey to their audience with each session.
I look forward to working together and capturing the potential magnificence of your moments through my eyes and the lens of my camera.
I have been on a designer search lately. I am trying to find pieces that will suit me well at fashion week this coming February. On my radar right now?! Vivan Chan! Um, hello perfect designer/pieces. Everything is so streamlined, unique, and basic. I couldn’t have have found a designer better suited to my aesthetic. Serious girl crush! Can we be besties? No but really, I am in love! I have been slowly stocking up on her pieces (Rosie skirt and Tawny jacket) but I am still needing that beautiful Chriselle top!
Be sure to check out her website and follow her on Insta!
Also, be sure to check back tomorrow for a fun giveaway!
I am finally back from my holiday and am busy trying to catch up with everything. It is amazing how fast e-mails, dust, and errands pile up. Oy Vey! Although I felt terrible for my lack of TLC on the blog, it was a really nice break to wake up and just enjoy the mornings without the stress of putting up a post. I so love what I do, but like any job, time away is always nice. I am sure I lost half of my readers but I am praying you all stuck around because I have some really fun giveaways coming up this month! Hint: two of them are on my wrist! Stay tuned…
Since I am having major Europe withdraws I decided to post a few shots I took while in one of my favorite cities: Geneva. I am not sure if it is because my husband is from there or the beauty of the city but I absolutely love going there. His childhood home is so warm and inviting and his family always makes my stay one to remember. This summer I am headed back over there with my parents so I must find a way to pass the 175 days (who’s counting) until then.
Over Christmas my sweet Mother-in-Law gave me the gift every girl wants: a new Celine. I am not ashamed to admit it is my first big girl Celine, and I am in love! It actually came with a mini version that I have attached a chain to, so I now have a cross-body as well (double score)! It was a little hard being away from my family over Christmas, but my in-laws made it so special and I am grateful that I have such an amazing souvenir to mark the occasion.
stay tuned for more holiday shots and upcoming giveaways!
What a year it has been! From becoming a wife to a new aunt, to a new career and a new blog re-design, I am not sure I could of had a better year! As I sit and reflect I am beyond grateful for all of the love and support I have received in 2013. Thank you for sticking by me through it all! I know people say, “I hope next year is even better,” but if 2014 is as good as 2013, I will be so lucky! Cheers, salut and chien chien to 2014! xx
