I have a few items that must be in my suitcase for summer travel: a hat, an easy dress, a great travel guide, sunglasses, and most recently, my Go-Pro. All of these items can get me around a city even if I forget everything else. Since I am about to leave for a city I have never visited I have been checking the weather, googling what to wear, and searching my closet for viable contenders. Luckily for me my Kate Spade “All Roads Lead to Rio” clutch I have been carrying around for weeks came with a packing list specifically for Rio (in picture above). After reading what she recommends I feel my packing is on the right track!  Here is what she says you need…

1. a panama hat – for sunny days strolling the Ipanema beach boardwalk

2. a big, lightweight tote – for scaling sugarloaf mountain & conquering rio’s other (colorful) sites

3. dancing shoes – for poolside parties & after hours jazz clubs

4. a sleek shirtdress – for sightseeing in the mourning & the beach in the afternoon

5. wrap necklace – they do double duty as bracelets, too

I hope this post and Kate has helped you for your next summer adventure!

What a weekend! I was able to spend it with my parents and dog – who I sadly had to say goodbye to for a month! My heart is heavy today without my little Annie Veuve! Why did I send her to summer camp with the grandparents? I am gearing up for a few weeks of travel. Not only have I been stressed about saying bye to my little girl, making sure everything is in order while we are gone, making sure the house sitters have everything they need, cleaning the house, and working on having a stock pile of blog posts, but I also have to pack for A MONTH!  For someone who is an over-packer this is a total challenge and something that has been on my mind for a while. I preach about “Packing staples, packing smart, packing services, and other tips and tricks to easing the stress but I still get worked up every time I have to do it. Usually to help cope with this stress – I go shopping so I don’t have to think about what to pack, I just bought it!  Isn’t that so annoying?  When you preach something to other people then realize it is so much easier said then done. Although I have gotten better, packing is still my nemesis.

Over the past few weeks I have been working on a closet clean out in hopes packing would be easier, as I would have fewer options. Alas, it hasn’t been and in return I have reverted to old ways. Since I was getting buyers remorse before ever pulling the trigger I decided to get a piece I knew could be worn in many different situations – with flats in Brazil, sneakers walking around London and/or at a cocktail hour in Geneva. Looking for something that fits all of these scenarios I stumbled upon a new brand, Tambourine. Their items are all very beautiful and basic – perfect for travel! After debating between a few different pieces, I chose the Sonics dress! I have really been gravitating toward white this summer (seen here in All White Denim + Linen and All White Pre-Easter), so why not add a really cool LWD to the mix? The material makes the dress casual but the buttons and draping can easily dress it up. I almost wore this dress with my panama hat and sandals (that versatile) but decided to wear a pair of sparkly heels since that, never happens! Fun to step out of the norm! I am excited to put this one in the suitcase and show it some Latin Love! See you soon Rio! #MASfashiontravels

Oh, boobs! They are such a pain sometimes! Luckily (that was sarcasm) I was blessed with more than any girl could ever need, nor want. They were always such a pain to dress – nothing really covered them nor fit properly. And God forbid you show a little of them, people would automatically assume you were a slut. Even if you couldn’t do anything about it! UHG! boobs. Until recently with actresses like Kate Upton and Sofia Vergara who have insatiable curves I thought I was destined to hide them forever. These girls warmly embrace their boobs and have taught me to do the same! Hello, cleavage. Where have you been? Before this surge of boob confidence I liked to cover or hide mine in fear of people getting, “the wrong impression.” Gosh people can be so damn judgmental. Since I have this new respect for the right to bare arms all, I need beautiful bras! And no bra on the planet makes you feel better, nor sexier, than a little, lacy, black one.

After talking to my friend Samantha about Fleur de Mal and hearing about companies like Third Love (who make my favorite bra), I was inspired. I sought out to bring you the best of the web – so you too, can feel sexy, no matter the size! Since creating this post a few of the picks have sold out. Because I don’t want you to feel e I have made a list of places I find mine …

:: Nordstrom -their selection is so on par right now you are too picky if you can’t find anything. How beautiful is this little lace number? And, it is under $40!

:: Third Love – hands down makes the best bra I have ever worn. It is (the exact bra) is beautiful, sexy, comfortable, supportive, and versatile. I want 100 more!

:: La Perla – Anytime I want something special they always have what I am looking for. Stop here for the most beautiful bras you have ever seen – and they are having a HUGE sale right now!

:: Fleur de Mal – Really beautiful and different bras. They are all  mostly accompanied with cute bottoms to match. FDM also makes clothing that is stunning! Don’t miss!

:: also don’t forget the semi-annual sale at V.S. is happening now!
