Tata Harper Honey Blossom Mask

Well it is officially the holidays in online land. Over the next few weeks you will be inundated with gift guides from blogs, retailers, and social channels. Holiday guides are great but I always like to find gifts that I know are a sure win – both in life and in the gift giving world. That is why I always, always, give and recommend giving Tata Harper for any woman in your life. Our skin goes through so many different stresses through the day it is nice to have products you can fully rely on. I have been a big fan of Tata for the past few years (read more in this past blog post). They are all natural (grown and made on her Vermont farm), always come in beautiful packaging, and they are so effective at doing their said job.

I have been a HUGE fan of their Resurfacing Mask for years. It gives you such a glow, I didn’t know one product could actually give you. While that is still my number one recommendation for you or your gift recipient, I just discovered the Honey Blossom Resurfacing Mask and am very pleased. Like her other products, it does not disappoint. The mast was inspired by her grandmother’s use of honey masks while growing up in Colombia which has been used for centuries as a soothing, hydrating and revitalizing skin treatment. The mask naturally is a concentrated source of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and moisture – it melts onto the skin, sealing in hydration and soothing dry patches. I have loved using it on my dry skin after all my travels and I have been enjoying its hydration as these colder days roll in.

If you need a great little stocking stuffer or a gift for your girlfriend give the gift of Tata! I promise you, she will love it, be so appreciative, and become part of the  Tata Harper fan club!

Codage Moisturizing Nourishing Radiance mask
I discovered Codage on my last trip to Paris. I was wondering a side street and happened upon a store that looked really cool. I was instantly intrigued. After popping in and learning about the brand I knew I had to try a few products. This mask was one of the items I picked up and thank goodness I did. It has been a travel life saver. My skin gets really dry from travel so applying this mask at night completely nourished and rehydrated it. I bought the travel size and have used it numerous times since getting back from Paris. Every time I do I am reminded at what magic it works!

Codage Créme du Nuit
Codage night creme has also been amazing. I used to think I needed to cake on lots of thick cream at night for my skin to be rehydrated and reginerated by morning but this cream is very light and only takes a small dot to get the desired results. It goes into your skin quickly and works so well. I wake up feeling like my face underwent a hydration facial.

Codage Hydration Intense Serum n°01
People swear by serums. They absolutely love them. But I had yet to try them and after trying these two I don’t know what took me so long. The Intense Hydration is something I use morning and night. It is a very light serum that works wonders. I apply it with the night creme and wake up feeling so refreshed. I even asked for more for Christmas. I am now a serum junkie!

Codage Eclat & Energie Serum n°03
I also apply this one morning and night. I find this one gives my skin more of a glow and makes it look “alive”. It is like it restores all the minerals your skin loses and gets it back to looking tight, smooth, radiant, and hydrated. And the best part, one drop is all you need so it lasts a while!

Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo
HOLY hair changer! My friend Krystal introduced me to this dry shampoo and it has changed the game. It comes in light and dark which is great for me as it leaves your hair/roots looking a little more refreshed. I also love the texture it adds to my locks. I use it everyday and go through a bottle every two weeks. It is great for styling or for making your hair last days without a wash.

Buly 1803 Pommade Virginale
We have heard my obsession for Buly 1803 in this post. I love their products so much and now won’t travel without one in my bag. They offer the best moisture and they smell so divine. I have this one for my day face moisturizer but have used it for my hands and body when I am in need. It is light and effective, which is exactly what I like for daily use!

Aveeno Ultra Calming Makeup Removing Wipes
always carry wipes when I travel. I actually put them in my purse on the plane so I can refresh before takeoff and again upon landing. They are the perfect solution to the “no liquids” rule. They remove my makeup easily and I never worry about something spilling in my bag and ruining my clothes. These are one of my travel musts!

Finding Your Signature Lipstick

Growing up my Aunt always wore red lipstick. I still remember the kisses that lingered for hours on my cheek. However much I hated having to scrub my cheek off I always loved that she had a signature color. Through the years we started a tradition of finding stuffed animals with these big, red lips painted on them and send them to each other. It was our little inside joke and I loved it!  As I grew up and began to wear make-up I was never scared to experiment (I think I get that from my Aunt). I would try reds, pinks, and oranges and always rock them as only my aunt would. Through all of my lipstick trials I never had a “signature color” and desperately wanted to find one as my aunt did.  I searched and searched but couldn’t quite find the perfect fit. All I wanted was one red and a few natural colors I could wear daily. Was that too much to ask? While I do love Revlon ‘Love That Red’, I wanted to find a red that was a little more toned down.

My search started to come to an end after sitting at the Neiman Marcus beauty counter two years ago. While playing around with lipsticks I discovered one that I couldn’t put down – Pimpante. It has a unique orange tint but is actually really natural and perfect for daytime as well as nighttime. I was smitten! I wore (and still wear) this lipstick straight, day and night, for two years! During the day I would put one swipe on and for nighttime I would double up. People stopped me numerous times in the street asking what lipstick I was wearing. I really felt like I was making my aunt proud! Some would say that would make it your signature color! And I would be happy to take it as it looks great, but one day while walking by MAC I decided to pop in. Thirty minutes later I had found my very natural daytime and beautiful red nighttime lipstick. ‘Kinda Sexy‘ and ‘Russian Red‘ completed my little pack of signature colors.

I love my lipsticks and can be seen wearing at least one of them daily! If you are looking for a red, unique, or natural color I HIGHLY recommend test driving one of these!
