I have always been fascinated by photography. I have spent countless hours studying photographs of people, while considering the angles, the lighting, and the editing the photographer used. I love the fact that photography has the amazing ability to transport us to a different time, or place with one single shot.
It was not until I started blogging that I decided to take photography more seriously. With camera in hand, I started experimenting with photographs of my apartment, of friends, and family. It was after experimenting in this way that I realized my passion for photography. I have no formal training or background in this field, but I realize that passion can open your eyes to the impossible, so not only did I invest in the proper equipment I also spent the necessary time to learn everything I could to enhance the skill it takes to be proficient with this passion.
I enjoy, and appreciate the opportunity to photograph bloggers, couples, influencers who make an impact in their profession, families, and also lifestyle type setting. I take an individual approach to each person I photograph. I make every effort to embrace and highlight the focus of what they are trying to convey to their audience with each session.
I look forward to working together and capturing the potential magnificence of your moments through my eyes and the lens of my camera.
I have been thinking about the entryway for awhile. The thought of designing the space made me nervous. It is the first thing people see when they walk into your house and gives them a quick glance at the over all feel of your home. It is important to make sure it is personal, functional, and appealing which is a lot to capture in such a small space. Feeling overwhelmed I decided to start with finding the perfect console table. I wanted something that felt light and didn’t weigh down the room (if that makes sense). My future mother-in-law and I found the perfect piece at Design Within Reach.
The rest of the space is a hodge podge of accessories from West Elm, Wisteria, and Nest. Since taking this picture I have changed the decor around twice and will most likely continue to do so until I get it perfect. I really want to find a great lamp, mirror, and rug to complete the space but as anyone decorating a house knows, sometimes you just have to wait and be patient until the perfect piece to comes along.
My mom was in town last week for my dress fitting and somewhere in between wedding and wine we found ourselves at West Elm. I love it there! Everything from their bar carts to their gold flatware is right up my design alley. My mom helped me pick out some accents that would lighten the living room. Both of us gravitated toward the white trays and mercury vases. I take after my mom in her love for candles and fresh flowers so I am really happy we were able to have both. This table will be ever changing but for now it is simple and perfect!
I love plush, white bedding. To me it is serene and inviting. Since the wedding is pretty much planned (four months and counting) my attention is moving to my future home. My poor family, and now fiance, have always had to put up with my 0 to 1,000 pace. Once I get my mind set on something, I have to do it, and then complete it. It is a nasty habit and I am working on slowing down but since I haven’t learned to yet, I will continue to get ideas for the house. sorry
Check out Crane & Canopy for very affordable and tres chic bedding! I personally love the Page Gray!
