I am that cheesy sentimental person who always likes to remind my friends, “We are making memories,” even if we are doing something as mundane as going to the movies or grabbing lunch. I love the idea of looking back in a few months or years and remembering the moment. My bestie came home from class the other day and said she heard something that really resonated with her…
so I wanted to share; “It is often difficult to remember general years or ages in your life, instead we tend to anchor our memories to moments or to experiences that bring us back to those years or times .”
This really hit me the other day when I was talking to zee fiancé and we were going over our bucket list of everything we wanted to do before kids and then in general (yes, we created one. I told you I was cheesy sentimental). He said something, that I am now forgetting, but I remember telling him, “It isn’t about just crossing the name off the list it is more about sharing the experience and making memories together.” I can tell you moments that stick out in my mind as if they happened yesterday but I will never be able to go back and pin point the exact date. So with all of this being said, I am going to make an effort to get my behind off the couch this weekend and go make a memory, even if it means I am only going to Sunday brunch 🙂

I have always been fascinated by photography. I have spent countless hours studying photographs of people, while considering the angles, the lighting, and the editing the photographer used. I love the fact that photography has the amazing ability to transport us to a different time, or place with one single shot.
It was not until I started blogging that I decided to take photography more seriously. With camera in hand, I started experimenting with photographs of my apartment, of friends, and family. It was after experimenting in this way that I realized my passion for photography. I have no formal training or background in this field, but I realize that passion can open your eyes to the impossible, so not only did I invest in the proper equipment I also spent the necessary time to learn everything I could to enhance the skill it takes to be proficient with this passion.
I enjoy, and appreciate the opportunity to photograph bloggers, couples, influencers who make an impact in their profession, families, and also lifestyle type setting. I take an individual approach to each person I photograph. I make every effort to embrace and highlight the focus of what they are trying to convey to their audience with each session.
I look forward to working together and capturing the potential magnificence of your moments through my eyes and the lens of my camera.

I agree! After being married for almost 20 years, I can’t remember the dates but all the great moments!
Totally my motto!! I said to my friend the other night as I locked us out of a salon I was redesigning in the MIDDLE of the night “we’re making memories & this is all part of our adventure”…..turns out we got the miracle we prayed for and now have another bigger than life memory for the books! We feel ya Mary, have a rockin weekend
Haha I do this all the time too, the other day I started tearing up in CVS with my BFF as were buying hair dye, and I was like “what is going to happen when we can’t do this anymore…” and she just looked at me and was like umm Emily we are stupidly buying hair dye on a Monday afternoon I dont want to remember this!
