One of the only things I enjoy about the heat in Dallas – getting to wear dresses. They are a one-and-done kind of outfit and that is exactly what I love. I absolutely love fashion, but absolutely HATE having to overthink what to wear. I do have those days where I have on a great outfit and decide to change, which then turns into me trying on a million outfits only to go back to my original. Overthinking = kiss of death. And it is such a bore – standing in a closet and having to think of “the perfect look.” blah. My motto, “less is always more.” So, when it is dress season (aka blistering heat), I know I can count on a few pieces in my closet to never let me down. Two being my Thakoon Addition Caftan and Thakoon Addition Shirtdress. Since they have both seen way too much use this past year I decided to give them a break and buy this Club Monaco Tiffaney shirt dress. The easiness of the dress reminding me of a Parisienne and before I bought it I had already day dreamt of my day wearing it around Paris – strolling along the Seine, popping into shops every so often, and ending the day with a nice glass of champagne at a local cafe (ah, to dream). Since I won’t be in Paris again any time soon, the dress will have to do.
