BAM! Those are some bright pants. Yup, I pulled out the trusty yellow mellows for my latest trip to Scottsdale. What better place? With the neutral backdrop from the surrounding desert I was a bright pop of color. I have had these linen pants for a few years but have only worn them a handful of times. I never felt like I styled them correctly or that they were “me.” But for some reason I was drawn to keep them. When I am asked what inspires me, my answer has always been the same – everyday people. While attending the Biscuit Home party a few weeks ago with my friend Molly, I saw a girl wearing these really cute yellow pants. From the moment she walked through the door my first thought was how cute and summery she looked and my second was – wait a minute, I have those pants! After a night analyzing what made her pants so much cuter than mine I decided I needed a good trip to the tailor. The day after I arrived back in Dallas, I was there. I decided to take them in a bit at the waist and to shorten them about six inches. I had always worn them with wedges but my style has changed over the years and instead of grabbing wedges, I now reach for the flats. Potentially answering my question as to why these pants never felt like “me.”  After receiving them back from the tailor, I was one happy customer. They are about the brightest thing I own but I think that is why I like them so much. Switching it up in the fashion department every now and then is never a bad idea!
