Oh, boobs! They are such a pain sometimes! Luckily (that was sarcasm) I was blessed with more than any girl could ever need, nor want. They were always such a pain to dress – nothing really covered them nor fit properly. And God forbid you show a little of them, people would automatically assume you were a slut. Even if you couldn’t do anything about it! UHG! boobs. Until recently with actresses like Kate Upton and Sofia Vergara who have insatiable curves I thought I was destined to hide them forever. These girls warmly embrace their boobs and have taught me to do the same! Hello, cleavage. Where have you been? Before this surge of boob confidence I liked to cover or hide mine in fear of people getting, “the wrong impression.” Gosh people can be so damn judgmental. Since I have this new respect for the right to bare ~~arms~~ all, I need beautiful bras! And no bra on the planet makes you feel better, nor sexier, than a little, lacy, black one.

After talking to my friend Samantha about Fleur de Mal and hearing about companies like Third Love (who make my favorite bra), I was inspired. Thakoon Addition Addiction

I have a serious problem! I have finally found a designer who not only always makes dresses I love but ones that also fit my body perfectly. This leads to a rather expensive issue known as, Thakoon Addition Addiction. Just google, “Thakoon Addition Caftan,” and see my picture pop up with all the different times I have posted about my favorite dress (or see caftan crazy and caftan lifesaver). And don’t even begin to wonder how many times I have worn my Thakoon Addition caftan outside of my blog. I would not be scared to say it is over 100 times. It is my all-time favorite wardrobe staple. Whether I am wearing it to the lake or a charity function – this dress is always perfect! I was beginning to get a little embarrassed at the number of times I wear it – I mean you can only be seen in the same dress so many times before it is considered ridiculous. Trust me when I say, I am straddling that line between love and clownish.

I was on the lookout for what would be my next “lover” when I decided to check-out Thakoon Addition. Since it was such a score in the past I thought I would give it another go. Let me preface this by saying for the past six months I have also been on the hunt for the perfect shirtdress. Literally searching relentlessly for what I think is something every closet should have, and mine is lacking. The search was by far harder than I thought and I was about to throw in the towel when I saw this gathered-front shirt dress in the Thakoon Addition section. Not only is it one of my favorite designers but I also found the item my heart had been searching for. What I loved most about the dress was that it had added elements to a classic piece – gathering, hi-low hemline, and pockets. I had found the dress! Once it arrived in the mail I wore it that night to a dinner. Sadly, I spilt red wine and beer all over the front so off to the cleaners it went. The day I got it back I wore it immediately anddddddd red wine once again. So maybe I should lay off the red wine but I will not be laying off this dress! It has everything the caftan has, and more! It will be perfect for my next trip (which I am excited to share this week) and a piece that will transition perfectly into fall! You will just have to stay tuned for the million+ ways I will probably wear this one! At least my sweet caftan will get a break!
