There are a few trends that I think are worth embracing this season – owning one floral or lace piece, trying out slip-on sneakers, and wearing all white. Each is on my list for different reasons but wearing all white is at the top of my list. I have been wearing it numerous different ways (here with wide leg pants and here with leather) this year and find it to be very easy and chic. Investing in a few white pieces that are easily mixed and matched will help you build the “classic closet” I keep talking about. One thing about white – it is always in style. I always recommend having a good pair of white jeans, a white silk top, and white dress pants. Each of these can be paired with hundreds of other items but paired together, really take home the win. Just remember – baggy on bottom skinny on top, and skinny on bottom blousy on top.

Denise Roobol Bags

When I am carousing around Instagram my eyes are always peeled to who people are mentioning and what they are wearing. Since I love the minimalist approach to european style I try to fill my feed with those influencers. While on my daily scroll I came across a post of the most amazing bags. I quickly clicked on the name tagged and was directed to the dutch designer, Denise Roobol. Denise’s bags instantly struck me! They were minimal, clean, classic, and chic – four things I love in a bag. I also love her process of designing bags and how she creates a story and scenario each bag will best fit. To name a few, there is the Cruise Bag designed around those summer days you sit on a dock sipping champagne with your friends, the Road Bag for those days bike around your city and discover new settings and the Daily Bag which is designed for using public transportation for a casual visit into the city or to attend a business meeting.

Denise has also spent her time working on finding the highest quality faux leather. To be honest, in the past I have never been a fan of faux leather. It always seems too stiff, looked too plastic, or didn’t seem high quality but Denise has found a way to work with and create such a classic and beautiful product, faux is easily overlooked. While her bags are everything I want and more – minimal, classic, chic, under $250, she doesn’t yet ship to the U.S. I will continue to check-in for the day she ships stateside but for now I thought it was a brand you should know about! And if you are ever in the Netherlands, be sure to check her out!

Happy Monday + Cinco de Mayo! I rang in Cinco de Mayo a little early this year at a celebration of the new Biscuit Home store opening in Houston. Bailey who is the owner and founder did an incredible job designing her new space! Every wall, room, nook and cranny is done to perfection. And the bedding, oh the bedding! There really isn’t anything else out there like it. I have been a long time fan of Bailey’s work so was excited to finally buy a few pillows I have been lusting over for months. Since my room is dark and the bed is light I went with the Marfa and the Taupe. I am so excited to finally complete my bed! Right when I finish this post I am off to the store to buy the inserts. I honestly can’t type fast enough!

A few days before I left for Houston I couldn’t help but live in my Frame Denim and a little white blouse. Have you ever tried Frame? Oh my denim goodness! This is how amazing they are – the day I bought them I came home, emptied out my jean rack, and tried to sell every other pair of jeans so I could have a closet of only Frame. They not only stay skinny on your body but they are as soft as butter. I am always a bit skeptical when people say they found the perfect denim, so when my friend Sally told me I had to try them I was hesitant. A few weeks later I was trying them on and wishing I had done so sooner. Being a girl who lives in her denim, finding Frame was like finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I am not sure I will ever wear any other denim.
