Being Comfortable

I am visiting my two little nieces in Houston today so I won’t take too much time to type (yes I am posting this the day of). I love getting to be with family and bask in the warmth of being a new aunt. While traveling and visiting family you want to be as comfortable as possible so I pack lots of classic pieces; black and white striped shirt, t-shirts, black shorts, and comfortable shoes (flip flops). Comfy clothes don’t have to look frumpy. I love wearing my baggy leather shorts and a comfortable t-shirt. People think you look put-together and trendy but you are comfy as a clam (is that a thing?).

M.A.S. FASHION + PORTAVI

Packing is stressful, time consuming, and not something I enjoy doing. Let me say this plainly; i don’t like packing. I am guilty of going out and buying new outfits just so I don’t have to think spend extra time trying to figure out what I have that will work. Once you figure out your outfits, you have to strategically arrange the items to maximize the space, only to get to the airport and realize that your bag is over-weight and you way over-packed. Did I mention that I hate packing?!

These feelings subsided once I met Hitha of Portavi. We met for lunch while she was visiting Dallas a few months ago and among our many conversations the dreaded task of packing came up. She quickly assured me it wasn’t too bad and there were tips that could help. She spilled the beans on her ever so genius business, Portavi, which helps you pack more effectively and efficiently. Before lunch ended we had a meeting on the books.

During our call she was so prepared with tips and strategy I instantly felt ready and excited to conquer my hatred for packing. My favorite tip of hers is to store small amounts of liquids in contact lens cases to save room and help you to not waste your beloved beauty products. I won’t spill all of her secrets but I will say, I was able to pack an entire week of clothing in ONE carry-on. impressed!

I have included a few of my must have travel essentials below: neutral pair of heels, jeans, a basic jacket and blouse, a fun belt, one gold necklace, and an easy pair of sunnies. These items are staples and can be mix-and-matched your entire trip.
