Brighten Up

My sister was in town this past weekend for business and I was so excited to spend some quality time with her. Our conversation always ranges but it kept circling back to fashion. We started talking about how your personal style is always evolving. I used to love bright colors but have turned recently to white, grey and black. She immediately told me those colors don’t remind her of me so on Sunday I threw off my grey skinnies and decided to add some color. It is crazy how different you feel depending on the colors you wear.

Strip It Off

I love when outfits are easy and effortless but still attractive. This is how I feel about my new coat from Zara. I originally had a leather dress under it and a belt around the waist but it was too busy so I decided to strip it off right there in the hallway. What a show. 🙂 I decided the coat could stand alone and even looked better without having all that fuss.

This look can go with any appropriate length coat. I think mid thigh or below the knee looks the best. Also, be sure to let the coat do the talking. Like I experienced, adding extras isn’t always key. If you feel the need to keep it simple, then keep it simple.
