ENGAGEMENT :: SET ONE

I am not sure if you remember but I was so unsure about doing an engagement shoot. I was nervous it wouldn’t be representative of our personality or love. You know, the us that makes us, “us.” After realizing the shoot was included in the photo package we bought I started my search for inspiration to share with the photographer. You might remember a few of the photos here. When the day came I couldn’t have been more excited and ready to start. Our photographer, Taylor, was a dream to work with! She put us so at ease and really understood our approach. It was such a fun experience and I loved the memories Brice and I made. Thanks Taylor
We did a few sets at Brice’s house which I loved because it felt so comfortable. Here is a little sampling of that set. Let me know what you think! I will post the second session next week 🙂 Can’t wait to hear your thoughts!

  2. I LOVE these Mary! They are so personal and your love for each other really shines through. This makes me want to take engagement pictures again! Maybe a 1 year session? I think so 🙂

  3. Wow, beautiful it looks like the photographer was invisible and sweet moments just happened to be captured! Also have a serious weakness for romantic black and white pictures!

    1. Awe thanks Diana! It was a blast. She kept telling me to do a “serious” face and I was like I am sorry I can’t. We gave up! haha

  4. wow I totally have the same fear of engagement photos. that they will be corny or not “us.” I am also considering not doing them! Thanks for posting – yours look great so far!

    1. I would TOTALLY do them! We went into it with the idea that if we hate them we don’t have to use them if we like them then even better. It was SUCH a great experience that we shared together! We made a day of it and had a few cocktails before. Seriously, so fun! I understand your fear but do it for the experience and time together and then if they turn out great then you have fabulous pictures 🙂

      Keep me posted on your decision! xo

    1. Thank you Asia! I couldn’t agree more on the idea of engagement photos but I was happy with how these turned out! I hope you have been well 🙂 Been too long since we have chatted!
